I would submit that donnie has no idea what fake news even means.

[–] randompasta@lemmy.today 32 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

News he doesn't like. But that's pretty much anything that isn't verbally sucking his dick.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 weeks ago

Yup. Fake news is a toxic terms that might as well have been coined by Trump.

[–] Feidry@sh.itjust.works 32 points 2 weeks ago

Fuck Donald Trump. What a garbage asshole. Fucking die, you worthless piece of shit. Signed, The World.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 29 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Didn't he already try this...but then it was ruled a 1st amendment violation, and he was forced to give them access again?

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah, but I think he has learned by now that it can take weeks for lower courts to issue injunctions. If he were petty enough he could just keep rewording executive orders that get striked down every 2 to 4 weeks to indefinitely keep out those he doesn't like.

He's a baby raping pants shitter.

Dictators don’t like free press.

The fact the article about the supposed agreement with Denmark over Greenland appears right above this in my feed would suggest to me that he doesn't want to face questions about the veracity of his claims, and so banned those most likely to pose them.

[–] SpaceCowboy@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah it seems the agreement is actually finalized yet. Remember when he announced a trade agreement with Canada and then added a bunch of shit at the last minute and the whole thing fell apart? He wrote (or at least someone wrote) about doing this kind of thing in "Art of the Deal".

The Greenland thing isn't a done deal. Even after it's signed, it isn't a done deal.

Er, isn't this a pretty straightforward lawsuit?

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It should be. He's punishing them for free speech. It's not up to Trump to decide what is or isn't "fake news".

[–] modus@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Surely he'll see consequences.

What a coward.

[–] rumimevlevi@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 weeks ago

Trump do not want them to hear his lies

They should all report "the president has committed another breach of common decency and refuses to comment, because he is a buffoon"

[–] jumping_redditor@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I am curious about how it is determined who can and can't attend white house press meetings, because you can't just let everyone that wants to go in

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 weeks ago

In normal times there is a board that selects who is elegible by various metrics, one being viewership. Then they come up with a rotating schedule for daily access.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Well, now the criteria is whoever is sufficiently cooing at the bloated toad while pretending he's sooper S.M.R.T and so bigly powerful and handsome. Also, really helps if they are young, blonde and have huge tits.

Journalistic standards? LOL, it's all gas and no brakes now.
