Don't worry. Fat or not, that cat has this under control. It's good to tell the kids where he likes to be petted, if he does. But there's no need to supervise, just go find the bandaids.

As I heard someone say once, "Cats will teach you about consent."
In one of my houses a couple neighbor kids would ring the door bell to see our cats.
It was a little girl about 6 and a boy that was like 3. Loved that block.
Everyone got along mostly and we would all hang out together.
We even got all the kids to help us clean up a messy / unsightly sidewalk near a vacant house to encourage trick or treaters to come down for halloween.
