I broke one on each foot within 3 months. The right one is still healing.
That's the worst. I broke my small one on the right like that years ago, and it's been easy to rebreak it since. Sucks.
I broke the one next to it on both feet the same way years apart - by my foot going slightly under a piece of furniture and then me taking another step without noticing.

Okay but I also heard this in the sustained high notes of the Trolololo song. π
I use flip flops inside my house and can't count the amount of time they have saved me from hitting my toes
I speak several languages but, when nearly cutting my finger off a couple years ago, "ow!" apparently came out in English according to the wife. I guess that makes sense as it was my first language but, even moreso at the time than now, I was speaking Japanese much more than English.
I invent the best new profanities when I do this, but since it's usually at like 3am I then forget them by morning.
I'd be in too much pain to speak any of them.

I've heard this happens with brain injuries, rarely, but I've never heard of it happening with toe injuries.
