I mean, it's unfortunately both. That was his intention yes, but he's feeding into the whole thing as he does so, becoming part of the reinforcement of the MAGA cult.
Reinforcing the MAGA Cult is good. Confront these people as often as possible, and make them double down on their stupidity. They are already starting to jump ship, so those that are left at the end (the end is coming) are the worst of the worst, and can be dealt with accordingly.

That's a weirdly written article. It's about a fictional person but is frequently written as if she's real, e.g. "Hart represented herself as a nurse" and "She regularly posted pictures of herself". No, she was presented as a nurse, and her, uhh, author(?) posted AI-generated pictures representing her.

Was it a sofa pillow? Anyone we would have the misfortune to know? That people actually voted for?
I'm not a big wikipedia person, but it seems like a lot of speculative information is included about the grifter and his/her intentions that isn't confirmed anywhere. The way it is written frames them as if they were backed into a corner with no other options other than to scam people online to pay for medical school.
Does it? It seems to me that it implies that he did quite a bit of other things in addition to this, but that this was the most lucrative.
I agree, the article describes the fake AI influencer as one of Sam's multiple approaches to making money. It doesn't suggest or even hint that he or she was forced into it in any way.
