I read an article about how all senate approved generals have resigned. There are none. And the government recently commissioned tech executives that had zero military experience.
We should not feel good about what is going to come.
We need to send in the Beekeeper.
All the people that are "doing the right thing" by quitting are handing the reins of power over to madmen. This admin has demonstrated, countless times, that they'd rather lie than govern.
While you are not wrong, there is also lots of people that think and claim out loud "if you are still working for this government, then you are complicit, you cannot claim ignorance", and they are not wrong either... And is not like you can say out loud "I am staying to make sure I hinder this administration as much as I can", as soon as you say that, you are out.
Also, there is a limit of how much you can put in your conscience, imagine having to sign orders that you believe will needlessly kill people, clearly at some point they have to go through things that they cannot justify anymore...
This guy is not one of those. He's in a competing MAGA faction.
They wouldn't have had to make a choice if a third of America didn't vote for fascism and a third didn't give a shit.

What I hear over & over from on various podcasts from people who've left US public service in the last ~2 years is:
Everyone has their own personal line, where they decide it's no longer worth it trying to stay & minimize the damage -- better to exit the burning building.

The thing is, they'll be worse at it. So isn't this beneficial in the end?
They can either "do the right thing" now or "just follow orders" later.
It's not that the army is out of Generals, but rather that the main civilian leadership posts in the Army (that require Senate confirmation) are all vacant. The ones who are currently in those posts in an acting capacity can't get confirmed, because even Republican Senators think they are morons.

And while we are not out of Generals, it turns out Kegsbreath has pissed off quite a few generals who have resigned, and he has fired a bunch more who he doesn't like. So there are a shit-ton of openings.
In January 2025, when Hegseth became Defence Secretary, the Army had 10 active-duty four-star generals. It now has only five, the lowest number in decades. Some senior positions have been removed, while others are being filled by officers from other military services.

Yeah I just did some digging and I call BS until there's evidence.
Apparently there are currently 38 4-star Generals/Admirals. Perplexity gave me each one of their names and their Senate confirmation dates (original and most recent). Most were done en masse in a voice vote on Dec 19, 2023.
That said, of the 38, these were listed as "pending/unclear status"
- Kenneth S. Wilsbach
- Thomas M. Carden Jr.
- Richard A. Correll
- Christopher J. Mahoney

Don't do the Enclave dirty like that, they had actual military staff as a solid chunk of their original population, problem is they kinda went nuts after the nukes went off. Ignoring 76 for a moment it's kinda implied that the upper echelons on the rig started to go insane a couple decades in possible after the OG population were either dead or elderly. Also they produced Sergeant Arch Dornan which if he is any indication implies they had some level of original military culture at least by Fallout 2.
Hell even accounting for 76 if memory serves right it was the actual military elements who put a stop to the traditional Nazi style Enclave bullshit. Mind you that's after fucking everything up but hey damage control.

He wasn't a long-term military officer. He served in the military for 3.5 years and then became a MAGA politician. This isn't a good guy standing up for truth, it's some internal MAGA power struggle.
He is mad cause it was his turn to do the weekly penis inspection. But Pete told him no, he was gonna do it.
I mean, considering the literal complete absence of a single person in the military who takes their oath seriously, if it comes down to an internal maga power struggle to depose any members of the Trump regime, I'll take it.
