We, the eaters of brunch and the condemners of Hamas, are the only true communists
Slop.
For posting all the anonymous reactionary bullshit that you can't post anywhere else.
Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.
Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.
Rule 3: No sectarianism.
Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome
Rule 5: No bigotry of any kind, including ironic bigotry.
Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.
Rule 7: Do not individually target federated instances' admins or moderators.
Ok this is starting to get really pathetic. At this point they just want to antagonize us for the sake of it.
I'm not gonna pretend we haven't been a bit aggressive at times, we have, but is this shit still really happening? Even when I was still on Lemmygrad a bit before migrating here I wasn't seeing many Hexbears being aggressive towards libs unless deserved like when a lib starts being aggressive first.
To be fair I mostly interact with the trans mega and use the local feed, but really? We are literally seeing an increasing rise in US' imperialism, alongside huge trans and general LGBT rights violations in the west and these people prefer to focus on the leftists that constantly calls that out rather than the empire?
Even comrade Cowbee is a common target for these people despite them being extremely patient and polite, there's no winning with these libs.

I think 90% of the origin stories for these “Hexbearians are malicious trolls” tales from Lemmayo.world types are Cowbee showing up somewhere and giving a well-documented, calm rebuttal to their anti-socialist propaganda.
I rarely venture out of explicitly socialist communities if I'm not on Lemmy.ml/Lemmygrad.ml/hexbear.net, which makes it funnier I suppose. People are less irrational in real life than online.
I mean what are posters on world etc looking for exactly? You’d think they could just go to Reddit where they came from, but they left because Reddit sucks and is diluting their product to the dismay of power users. Why they do that? Because the capitalist system currently works by speculation under the total rule of finance capital, resulting in crapification. If they were literate, these Reddit mods would be quite upset.
>Hexbear gets blocked because it hosts communities of some of the most obnoxious, unrepentant trolls known to the internet.
Imagine being so ignorant to UTTP/foodists/miscellaneous failtrolls I dont have to name running rampant online that some commie who sent you  is the worst "troll" you've seen
>For those unaware, r/chaptraphouse was the “left wing” equivalent to r/The_Donald
@mods rename the comm now
Much like 'hipster' and 'tankie', 'troll' as a term has slowly transformed from "person who says things for the sole purpose of aggravating you" (ie much like /b/) into "person I don't like"
They're providing us a level of infamy we do not deserve tbh.
The ironic thing is that half of Hexbear's users on other instances so they can interact with the rest of fediverse. They interact with more Hexbears every day on alts than they realise. They just don't have a little Hexbear server name next to their name when they do so it doesn't make them immediately start seething.
The entire Lemmy project would benefit from hiding the server that users are posting from unless you actively click on something. We've had a culture problem of the same thing here, being more aggressive to non-Hexbears than to Hexbears. It's the same thing, building up a culture of different behaviour towards the server source than would otherwise occur if a comment was didn't indicate source.
Indicating what server someone is posting from creates digital nationalism. The lemmyverse is made up of many countries with borders, sanctions and hatred to various other lemmy nationalities.

100% agree. I really bought into decentralized networks and first got on the fediverse fifteen years ago (diaspora network), but I did not forsee how absurdly stupid instance drama would get. I haven't posted on hexbear comms with my ml account for a year or two now because it's so emotionally draining to post what you think is a crystal-clear joke and people default to bad-faith.
Most newcomers will not know where to start with picking an instance and this shit will absolutely drive away people who would fit in fine. Several big instances will not be open to that idea (hiding each poster's instance) but we could definitely do that on our end.
edit: Actually we essentially can't because only hexbear having mandatory pronouns means 99% of posters from outside instances will be immediately identified as such :/
i have here in my hand a list of hexbear alts
I don't get the fear and hatred of hexbear. It's not particularly different than any other online community of leftists.
It feels very pythonesque, like the whole rivalry between The Judean People's Front VS The People's Front of Judea in Life of Brian.
Thing is, when these people say "online community of leftists" they mean like r/politics
We're very loud and correct, and no one is more hated than the person who is loud and correct.
We're weird and smelly and that makes them jealous
We're all a little bit dorty
they probably unironically have done the "what have the romans ever done for us" bit on .ml because most .world nazis aren't aware this is a communist platform made by communists
Hexbear gets blocked because it hosts communities of some of the most obnoxious, unrepentant trolls known to the internet.
“The internet” being the four websites that this person frequents. There are some depraved people and forums on the internet. You don’t have to search for long. Getting called a fascist by a communist nerd from Hexbear, who uses content warnings and cannot even downvote you, is easily survivable. The actual sewers of the internet will doxx you, send you disturbing gore or sexual content, they’ll try their best to traumatize you.
They've just never met any decent posters.
Guarantee more than a few of the ppl who complain abt hexbear being toxic r kiwifarms users
If you've never been called a slur are you even trying?
I absolutely love tom scott! His videos and content have really spotlighted the good side of Creators and education + entertainment.
Good to see him on memes now, such an icon!
Dan Brown, now there's a novelist! Apparently they're making a movie out of one of his works! I love it when niche writers get recognition!
did dan brown collaborate with transphobes and then give a half-ass "apology" that makes it clear he doesn't understand what the problem was?
I did not know that about Tom Scott
iirc her name was jill bearup or something like that. i also heard about it way late so where i settled on it was that i wad willing to watch stuff that was just him but i wouldn't recommend any of it and i wouldn't trust his collabs.
and then i ended up not watching any of his stuff and he soft-retired a couple years later.
even if they’re not as severe as giving the ML Pass to dictators who are not even vaguely communist.
Meanwhile if you get to pick a face every 4 years to lie to you and pass the same unpopular neoliberal shit cutting social benefits people rely on over and over it's suddenly a democracy. Just do the same thing libs accuse geopolitical enemies of doing but with a couple of levels of abstraction and they go blind, I swear.
I will admit thats cute "It’s like the Khmer Rouge’s version of 2004s era /b/. "
New tagline please ?
I think the khmer rouge would kill me for having glasss not because they're a sign of a decadent bourgeois-tinged intellectual upbringing, but because they make me look like a fucking dweeb
You mean the systematic recording of birds, their behaviors, and making documentation about them and how their environment is doing?
Believe it or not, still the anarchist programmer catgirls.
Damn, how is this coming from someone on the porn instance?
You mean the systematic recording of birds, their behaviors, and making documentation about them and how their environment is doing?
How can they make such cool work sound so boring
