Blocking hexbear has nothing to do with a difference in ideas. Hexbear gets blocked because it hosts communities of some of the most obnoxious, unrepentant trolls known to the internet. Lemmygrad and .ml get blocked because said trolls made alts when instances got fed up and defederated from hexbear.

I think 90% of the origin stories for these “Hexbearians are malicious trolls” tales from Lemmayo.world types are Cowbee showing up somewhere and giving a well-documented, calm rebuttal to their anti-socialist propaganda.
a lot of the time it's them saying something unhinged like "china is cutting off the feet of babies and sewing them on women's breasts" and you ask them to provide a source and they paste something from radio free asia that says "china makes strides in breast cancer prevention, but at what cost, human rights group says" and then you point out that none of this is about baby feet.

I rarely venture out of explicitly socialist communities if I'm not on Lemmy.ml/Lemmygrad.ml/hexbear.net, which makes it funnier I suppose. People are less irrational in real life than online.
