If Biden hadn't attacked Iran, we wouldn't be in this mess, that's all I'm saying.

[–] Railcar8095@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Damn Biden attacking Iran to distract form Biden raping minors.

[–] CalypsoGirl@lemmy.today 9 points 1 day ago

Y'all need to stop talking like this, even satirically, because it's exactly what trump wants. To redirect our attention away from his own bullshit.

[–] cenariodantesco@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

oh yeah? what if I told you that the real reason Joe did it, was to retrieve some files COPIED from Hunter biden's laptop? yeah

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 30 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Are they so dumb they can't come up with a new excuse? Five year old me was a better liar.

[–] Dead_or_Alive@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

They don’t care. Well specifically Trump doesn’t care. He already has the Presidency and is making bank off of it.

Republicans enabled his shit for years, they and the American people are the ones who are going to pay.

Why change something that works?

No. One major cornerstone is to blame everything on their bad guys.

Trump: Joe Biden shat in my diaper.

[–] SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social 20 points 1 day ago (1 children)

WHILE I WAS WEARING IT! WHY WOULD HE DO THAT? HOW?! 😭

Biden forced him to rape all those children!

[–] Sibshops@feddit.cl 90 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Biden must have left a super secret time-bomb in the economy.

[–] jonathan7luke@lemmy.zip 64 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Republicans unironically do this with the national debt.

[–] 13igTyme@piefed.social 27 points 1 day ago

When a Republican is president, policy is slow and it takes a long time to undo the Democrat president policy.

When a Democrat is president, policy is fast and any immediate good things are a result of the Republican president.

My dad (not even American, but he would 100% be Republican if he were) will randomly bring up Obama and Biden and blame them for the economy, and even blame them for what's happening in Iran. He claims that Trump had no choice but to attack Iran because of what Obama and Biden did to the economy 🤦🏻‍♀️

My father has multiple degrees and a professional designation, but he is living proof going to school doesn't make you smart.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

Honestly I put an asterisk next to the degrees of old white men. They're so frequently the recipient of handouts that you can't trust them to be qualified.

That is, without a hint of irony, exactly what the Tories have done in the UK and what the Republicans will do to the U.S.: They create such budget deficits during their own terms in office and enter into long-term commitments that benefit the super-rich that subsequent progressive governments have their hands tied when it comes to fiscal policy. Since these governments feel bound by rules out of fear of the conservative mob, they can effectively be rendered incapable of acting, thereby directly laying the groundwork for the next election victories.

[–] ParlimentOfDoom@piefed.zip 5 points 1 day ago

Will do? Republicans are several decades into this plan. Bush inherited a budget surplus, started two wars and gave away billions in bailouts after the economy crashed, then Republicans turned around and bitched non-stop about the deficit when Obama took over, just so no policies that actually help the people can get passed without raising taxes.

Welker is always too polite for this reality. And doing blue steel.

[–] tehn00bi@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

I’ve been watching meet the press for about 20 years. Welker gets run over all the time. The ginger that covered for her earlier this year was great.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

that's clearly Le Tigre.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

IDK, I read it like

WELKER (exasperated): THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS OVER!!!

Anyhow, you don't have to be impolite to hit home.

[–] Snapz@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You are viewing this from the perspective of a single interaction, I'm speaking more to welker as a whole (see others comments with similar sentiments). And get off your self righteous soapbox, she's not risking her life to get clean water to kids in Africa, she's being paid millions a year to profit from providing a softball landing pad for fascists and laundering their atrocities to help white grandmas in Ohio stay "undecided" after the administration shoots an american mother of three in the face in broad daylight and calls her a "fucking bitch" as she bleeds out and trump brown shirts deny medical personnel access to their dying victim.

Not to be impolite, but fuck your decorum. I invite you to wake up to the reality we are in. We're not about to have a pleasant US midterm election to "right the ship" this is the moment they can't avoid anymore. A few months left to start thinking about this seriously.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What decorum? What I said is based on this post, nothing more.

Are you alright?

I really do hope the USA finds it's way back to some sort of normal level of quasi-democratic oligarchy. I mean better would be better, but just back to pre-Trump1.0-levels would be OK.

Hang in there!

[–] SparroHawc@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

Are you alright?

No. Anyone with their head not buried in their own ass in the USA right now is not alright. We haven't been alright for a while now, and there's a good chance that we're gonna have it even worse in the near future.

Some of us cope with fatalism. Some of us cope with humor. Snapz copes with anger, it seems.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

Joe Biden did donuts on the pool liner.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 12 points 1 day ago

Stop the gish gallop in its tracks. Don't gloss over anything just to keep the convo going.

[–] Folstar@lemmus.org 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yes, but Tim Scott keeps getting elected.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

They let Tim Scott live in the big house with the boss.
