The volume of the sun is 1412000000000000000 km^3.
The volume of the moon is 21958000000 km^3.
sunvolume / moonvolume = ~6.4 million km^3.
You could fit more than 6 million lunas inside the sun (well, if you joined their volumes into one giant sphere).
So yeah, saying the moon is 1/400 the size of the sun is laughable.
Now what I think they meant to say is diameter. It's true: the moon's diameter is 1/400 of the sun's. And it's also true that the moon is about 1/390th of the way to the sun. But they worded that poorly
So yeah, saying the moon is 1/400 the size of the sun is laughable.
I personally think that the word size is ambiguous enough not to imply a volume ratio. Actually when the context is the apparent size of an object in the sky, I imagine that the diameter is the first thing that comes to mind. (Or to be more exact the second thing just after the apparent area of the object in my field of view which is directly related to the diameter.)
The ratio of two volumes has no units. I'm afraid your argument is invalid /s
Oh look another recently created run of the mill troll account spouting obvious made up bullshit, I'm sure that's a coincidence.
Your mother can cover much more of the sky than the moon.

Wrong community pal.
??? Where else are you supposed to put your schizo rants if not here?
Down with the moon nazis! Farts be upon them
I'm not sharing my farts. There mine!

According to Wikipedia, the medium equatorial radius of the sun is ~520 times that of the moon while the sun is ~390 times further from earth than the moon (medium distance).
So not only is this conspiracy theorist crap, it is also not even getting the most easily researchable facts correct.
1/399 chance, but stranger things have happened, but Big if True!
