This is textbook defamation. Hasan's chat is constantly telling him he should sue whenever he watches mainstream media making shit up about him on stream but he has always declined, but recently they've escalated the defamation and are making increasingly serious allegations against him, so IMO he's shown remarkable restraint thus far and he absolutely has the right to sue over this.
It's only going to get worse without repurcussions for Jennings too. He is probably going to be the new press secretary so he will committ all kinds of horrific acts that lead to death and misery for the working class on his way to a huge payday at Fox News.
What I love most about Hasan Piker is how incomprehensibly liberals, empty centrists and conservatives absolutely panic when they see his name when in actuality Hasan Piker has very moderate and rationale beliefs.
No, Hasan isn't a moderate according to the definition of a moderate being completely unreflective of how their beliefs and ideals connect to reality, but Hasan is actually very much a moderate in terms of wanting systematic change in the most boring, broadly beneficial and policy focused way possible. In ideology Hasan Piker is a younger Bernie Sanders with a "scary" name. There is nothing "radical" about Hasan Piker's personality or politics when viewed from a rationale perspective, the beliefs of centrists are far more radical given the incredible unexamined hypocrisies at the heart of them.
People talk about Hasan Piker like he is some angry, dangerous man who casually suggests extremist forms of violence and judgement upon others as serious policy suggestions, which is another way to say that people talk about Hasan Piker like he behaves like a conservative.
This could not be further from the truth, Hasan Piker is a humanist, he is not someone like Tucker Carlson who harbors and nurtures ideologies of hate and violence like antisemitism and islamophobia.
If you want proof of this, watch some videos of Hasan Piker talking about Tucker Carlson, they both frequently criticize Israel, if Hasan didn't care about the ethics Tucker Carlson would be a natural and very powerful ally to reach across the isle too, but Hasan correctly identifies Tucker Carlson as an enemy of muslims, jews and collective peace even though he appears to be on "Hasan's side" on one of the topics Hasan is most passionate about.
5 or 6 years ago this guy was a GTA role-player on Nopixel. Now he does this?
Yikes.
Read the fucking rules! No politics!
Shouldn't be a rule imo
Yet, the rule points you where to post political videos! If you don't know English, don't post here then!
Why it's so difficult for USA users to learn English? Why can't you respect the rules like the rest of world? Do you think because of Trump you can do anything you want?
I'm sick of USA user base not respecting the rules.
ALWAYS READ THE RULES!
I wish people cared as much about what politicians had to say as nepo twitch streamers who claim to be communist while streaming from a literal West Hollywood mansion...
What's funny is that his house has actually been leaked and it's not a mansion so much a product of insane runaway housing costs making relatively simple houses insanely expensive in specific locations.
Raise your standards.
Raise your standards.
I'd love for my standards to be a "normal house" worth over a million dollars...
But my uncle didn't start a giant media company and name it after genocide a to hand me a platform...
But to be honest I probably would have turned it down and wouldn't have been interning for him in the first place
I like this idea that The Young Turks exists as a vehicle for Hasan almost exclusively.
This ignores the year(s) where he streamed games to an audience of 30 people after he quit TYT.
And to be clear, your standards are referring to a normal house as a mansion. Capitalism has robbed you of being able to imagine even normal things as anything but unreachable Luxury. And your weird sense of Socialism has convinced you that poverty is the only virtue that proves your Convictions. Both of these things are lies you've swallowed from a class of people who are waiting for you to pass out in their warehouse and die so they can stop hearing your whining.
Normal houses should stop being treated like speculative investments...
But how do we prevent that?
I mean I'm not an expert but financial regulation and a functioning FTC. Being completely real I only have keywords here and no working knowledge of the links but Mamdani is already Taxing second homes that are being unused and kept as financial assets in NY which is something I feel should be modeled elsewhere. The faircloth amendment should be repealed and public housing destigmafied. And air BnB and interstate rental firms (or just any blanket asset management firms like Blackrock while we're at it)should be abolished. Those are my big general takeaways.
My basic understanding is the reason we have housing as a speculative asset is the same as everything else that's been getting exponentially shitty over the past 20 years, "if it exists and isn't generating money then what's the point of it". Housing especially was always seen as an appreciative asset, but maybe if barely supposed to match inflation rates, so you could say any money you put into equity would always carry value into present day, but some people took that to mean"I should be able to die and be buried in a gold coffin because something about compound interest" and there were a lot of financiers who took advantage to this leadded gasoline fueled delusion.
Anyway that's my two cents.
Isn't this the guy who zapped his dog? Why the fuck are people still giving him attention?
Because he streams for 8+ hrs a day to an audience of tens (if not hundreds) of thousands while espousing rational political views that run contrary to the narratives of America's two political parties. Many people in their teens and twenties love him, for whatever it's worth.
We should judge him by what he does not what he says, but I get it. He speaks to us so we ignore potential issues.
I'm imagining you pulling your head out of your microwave just long enough to type these responses.
Find the proof he zapped his dog.
Allegedly. Others say the collar was non-shocking. As far as scandals go, probably is somewhat more believable than Al Franken's allegations (who was canceled for less), but less believable than a lot of other scandals today.
I too can make stuff up about people I could find threatening for no good reason? Like everyone else?
Heck, as much as I wouldn't condone it, I don't even think shock collars are all that controversial even if it were true
