Well sure, that's what all the "rigging the election" they're doing is for...

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago

I've been saying this all over, but here's my predictions:

  • Send in ICE goons to prevent people from voting in many swing Democratic places. When the people start to protest and push back, NSPM-7 will have labeled them all "domestic terrorists" so they'll face huge prison terms, or just be shot on the spot "out of self defense" or some shit. As of Aug 12, 2026 they've recently said they'll do this.

  • Try to foment some terrorist attacks or stage some false flag attacks themselves at polling places or counting stations as a pretext to seize voting machines/ballots.

  • Work with Musk and Thiel to sabotage the systems themselves (much like Musk possibly did in 2024, I'm not saying that's a hard fact but there has been enough fuckery to do hand recounts). They've had access to the machines' operating systems since 2021, more than enough time to develop exploits. They have back doors all over the federal government now through DOGE. They have voter rolls from many states. They are dismantling election security agencies and policies.

  • Use the war (pick any war, maybe a new one by that point) to cancel elections all together and even though Democratic states will hold elections, Republican states will not, so he'll have SCOTUS rule it an incomplete election and therefore invalid or something

  • ?????: Some other completely batshit insane thing that I'm not evil enough or too sober to come up with.

Numbers, prior to elections, do in fact lie. We’ve been burnt by this in the past. Maintain focus.

Right? 2016 would like a word.

Hey us voters: quit using the polls and your internet advisors as a reason to not turn out.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

They don't lie but they're often just wrong.

[–] Rothe@piefed.social 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Especially when the election is getting rigged in favour of the Republicans (again).

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

This. I don't really believe that Donvict won any of his "wins" legitimately.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Why do you think the conservatives are scheming to steal elections?

[–] bunnybunny@lemmy.zip -2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

They’re not running scared because the midterms will be stolen and the Americans won’t do shit about it. Lazy ignorant fucks

[–] moustachio@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Wow, such an edgy and profound take…

Are you?

Because the real resistance and pushback vs what you imagined in your head isn’t as unified and published by corporate owned propaganda outlets you consume?

[–] bunnybunny@lemmy.zip 0 points 5 days ago

You don’t even know what ‘propaganda’ outlets I consume. I don’t consume any American news outlet.

And yes I am right. Trump is wrecking your country and after almost two years he is still there. A large group of people voted three times for him. The guy who keeps lying to you, his blatant fraud, is a proven rapist and pedophile is still in office. And all those facts still don’t convince people to vote against him.

Coming November that same group will still vote for him, the same group of people are still too lazy to get off of their asses to vote against him and on top of that Trump will do anything to win the midterms
