McConnell represents the state of Kentucky.

He is fortunate to be employed in a job with excellent benefits. There is no federal law, however, that provides guaranteed paid sick leave. In 2025, about 27 million private sector workers had no paid sick leave.

One reason: Mitch McConnell. Since he entered the Senate in 1985, he has voted against creating or expanding paid leave at least 23 times.

Most recently, rail workers threatened to strike in 2022. Politicians panicked because it would have paralyzed the US economy. Senators stepped in to impose a new contract for the workers and avert a strike.

maga voters don't care about any of that. literally all they think about is jesus, guns, abortion, and get rid of the gays/mexicans/women's rights.

they would vote to have a testicle removed before voting for anything remotely having to do with progress. they would cut both balls off themselves before doing anything to make their fellow maga cultist unclecousindaddies call them "woke"

I think they mostly just care about stickin it to the people their pals tell them are idiots ie "owning the libs". It's all just a big us v them thing. Eventually some of them will realise they are also thems ..

I posted this in a separate thread, but it's worth repeating: conservatives believe in hierarchy. Different rules for different people.

They don't see this as hypocrisy. Pointing out the contradiction won't work. They are consistent: the good people get good things and everyone else needs to stay in their place. Even when the maga isn't at the top, they take comfort in being at their appropriate rank. And they get to shit on the people below them.
