Oh yes, of course. There are no winners in a war among the regular citizens. But it’s coming regardless and I just hope that the US takes a fucking devastating shot to the ribs that it never recovers from. It may save the free world.

Yes, that is absolutely true, but the wealthy have shown to be very adept at controlling what the public perceives as “reality.” They control the narrative for the majority of the public through ownership and control of the mainstream media. I don’t think it is possible to get enough people to unify against them and overthrow them in the modern age of bullshit. I hope I am wrong, but damn… I’m not seeing it.
The problem is that billionaires have minions. Paid goons (mostly ex military or police) who will protect them. Of course, if we were to actually unify, the number advantage would be so overwhelming that it wouldn’t matter. The revolution or whatever you want to call it probably wouldn’t even take a week. But try to get an overwhelming number of people to agree on ANYTHING. Try it. Ain’t gonna happen.
I hope this becomes another Vietnam. I hope others help Iran like others have helped Ukraine. I assume that the US military has lost a lot of expertise with the purge of non loyalists… I would love to see the US military bled dry by this war like Russia has been with Ukraine. Weakened and humiliated, the United States would cease to be the “leader of the free world” and take its new place as a big-but-fucked-up country that nobody holds in any kind of high esteem. I say this as an American. I am ashamed of my country and its people.

They aren’t imaginary, they just don’t mean anything. Not anything important anyway. It’s a measure of certain rich peoples’ rising or falling fortunes. They pick which group of rich people to represent in the number and that constantly changes.
This will only be accomplished with violence/war. Even then, we would have to unite behind whatever the “right” solution is. No, I don’t think humanity can overcome its problems. I think that we are, and intelligence in general is a pathogen on whatever host system it develops in. We will likely face a future of war and destruction until we become extinct. Hopefully, the planet will still be habitable for new life.

Holy shit, I do this all of the time! Most movie plots follow the same patterns anyway, so a lot of the time, the production process is more interesting to me anyway!
