It would definitely cost less than donuts, unless the toppings were meat and cheese.

Grr! Now I want a baked potato and some honey!

(Exactly right. You cannot misgender me in a way that matters anyway. No big deal.)

Baked potatoes are a delicious anytime treat but this is a hard disagree for me. I want my sugar glazed fried bread and you'll pry it from my cold dead hands.

As good as baked potatoes are, they do not go well with coffee, so this is a hard pass for me.

what about a chicken sandwich and coffee?

I'll have coffee after a good sandwich any day, but for something to have concurrently with my coffee? Only sweet pastries will do.

Potato-taste-defect. Makes coffee taste like potato.

Don't know how real that is, I read about it once.

That sounds like a trip, and the kind of thing specialty coffee people could make into a thing if they were more like natural wine people and not such nerds.

Baked potatoes were a uniting force between the cast and crew of Star Trek TNG and Cheers. They filmed next to each other, and they often bonded over craft services baked potatoes with a deluxe spread of garnishments. This is why there were so many guest star roles on each show from regulars on the other.

im in.

i used to work next door to a hospital that had a cafeteria, and somedays they did a baked potato bar.

it was magnificent.

It is difficult to eat a baked potato and work, so that is a hard pass for me.

[–] quarrk@hexbear.net 4 points 1 day ago

More like easy pass. Sorry, boss, I’m on my potato break

[–] Melobol@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 day ago

There is a few things I would take over a freshly baked quality donut. But I don't consider them food.

These potatoes on other hand...
