While I’m all for pro-consumer, this doesn’t seem right, no? Having played the game 470 hours already and still wanting a refund even after clearly getting your money’s worth? It seems wrong — at least for me anyway. Also of note, it’s not like DICE will keep Rush out of the game mode rotation forever. They cycle these modes back in. Is it asinine that they do it? Yes, but if you’ve played a game this much and presumably enjoyed it, don’t the devs deserve some of your dime?

Author is clearly a corpo simp and deserves to have their car’s seat warmers retroactively paywalled.

It’s not like the actual devs are even getting paid their fair share of the game’s profits, they largely get paid the same either way and the rest lines the pockets of investors.

If it sounds unbelievable

Sounds quite believable. Good on Steam for having the customer's back and processing a refund when EA neuters the customer's game.

I'll just add this to the list of reasons I'm glad I have sworn off any game attached to ea.

I was considering getting BF6 when it went to half price.

Then EA got bought by Kushner. So nope.

Why would hours played matter?

I've learned my lesson. The BF series is a $10 or under bargain bin series to me now. They've fucked around with Rush in previous titles too. Maps don't feel like BF maps anymore. Miss all the custom servers where I can stay in the same server with the same people from round to round. Bunch of sweaty preteens making the place stink.

I'll still play it...a few years from now when it's 85% off on a Steam sale. Like I've done with the last 2 or 3 titles.
