What is global news?

Something that happened or was uncovered recently anywhere in the world. It doesn't have to have global implications. Just has to be informative in some way.

Post guidelines

Title formatPost title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL formatPost URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefixOpinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefixCountry prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

No one could have foreseen that the fourth year of the four-day operation would be this difficult.

They head over to an β€œIndian” oil drum, peel back the flag sticker to reveal the Russian flag and shrug.

Sort of. It is probably Russian crude oil, but refined into gasoline/diesel/whatever by India. Ukraine has (as I understand it) been attacking Russia's refineries as opposed to the wells, which are generally farther away

The refineries are also a significant chunk of the profit. Destroying them all wouldn't end Russia's oil revenue, but between the loss of the most profitable part of the process and the fact Russia then needs to buy the refined products back to use, it's making the Gas Station Masquerading as a Country business pretty unsustainable.
