Well. There aren't exactly many exits to the Azov sea. And I doubt they all went up the Don.
So, My highly credible take is they probably went into the Black Sea.

However it still needs work, as far as I am aware most of these ships haven't actually been sunk.
The metaphor should be something more like "light a tanker on fire and the rest scatter like a cockroaches from a switched on light."

The wheelhouse furnishing business for commercial shipping is about to hit some intense bottlenecks.
I don't imagine shipbuilders have planned supply chain structures with the idea that the bridge of a ship may be destroyed repeatedly throughout the lifetime of a ship...

Unexpected genius move - they scuttled the ships because Ukrainian drones can't hit them under water.
In addition the Ukrainian navy has ordered all civilian ships to stop broadcasting AIS. Combine that with the dark fleet seldom having AIS on in the area, the the entire North half of the Black Sea shows no ships at all on my various enterprise ship tracking systems. Eerie to see.
