Blender has a video editing space which doesn't have any AI features built-in by default (add-ons exist made by community).
The software has a substantial learning curve but which video editor doesn't.
Fuck AI
"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"
A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
Keep in mind that "open source" alone does not necessarily imply "no AI features". There is plenty of open source software that includes some sort of AI integration.
includes some sort of AI integration.
or vibe-coded.
Thank you!
Shotcut does the job for me. Portable, too.
I second this
Shotcut? Kdenlive?
I don’t think they have any AI bollocks. I could also be wrong.
Kdenlive has Whisper for transcription, but it's at least somewhat useful and optional.
I haven't tested in a while, but:
https://github.com/olive-editor/olive/releases (old)
https://www.openshot.org/download/ has been making nice progress
https://www.shotcut.org/download/ haven't tested it, but it's in my list
shot cut is nice for basic stuf honestly.
Every video editor is non-AI because "AI" doesn't exist.
Since "AI" is meaningless, I'm not even sure what kind of technology you're trying to avoid.
everyone loves it when someone is being willfully obtuse and unhelpful on purpose
