neotropical

I spent like 10 seconds straight wondering how scientists can determine if a cockroach is autistic

[–] flubba86@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

I'm going to start referring to myself as neurotropical now.

[–] Zwiebel@feddit.org 3 points 5 days ago

If you put your ear real close you can hear it rambling about the differences between shunting yard types

[–] TowardsTheFuture@lemmy.zip 28 points 5 days ago (1 children)

So this is what lesbians feel like when men say they haven’t met the right guy yet huh.

[–] Track_Shovel@slrpnk.net 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

That might just be how women in general feel about us

[–] Gonzako@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago

Nah, that's just performative misogyny.

Took me a bit to find anything on these guys other than reposts of this same picture, I wasn’t sure they’re real. The scientific name is reported wrong in some places, it should be Panchlora kozaneki. In case anyone wants to look them up.

Same. The color is not the issue.

Have to admit, men just fucking smell and are ugly by default.

I don't see why women would ever want us, the moment the internet became a thing, and broke them out of their programming, the species fate was doomed.

Username checks out

Your perception is tainted by the fact that you're straight(I assume you're a man). Go ask a gay man and you'd see way different results.

[–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 1 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Ok. So, explain why and what kind of men are hot?

[–] Waraugh@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 4 days ago

I think Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal are hot. I’m not gay and don’t find myself sexually attracted to them but I still find them to be very attractive.

[–] Gonzako@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

No idea, i'm not gay. I just don't hate myself that much

[–] webp@mander.xyz 3 points 5 days ago

This sounds a bit like incel speak.

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Sounds like body dysphoria. Have you considered that you might be trans?

[–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yep, I'm open-minded.

The answer is, I don't know because I'm dissociating.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

Yeah you're gonna want to deal with that. I recommend also experimenting with various issues with your self image there. It's worth the effort to figure out a way to feel attractive/good looking.

And tbh as a lesbian while men are a total turn off (especially the smell), I can still see what people find attractive in them and can recognize when a man is very good looking. It's just that I still don't want anything to do with him sexually. I'm gay not blind.

[–] I_Fart_Glitter@lemmy.world 9 points 5 days ago

This feels racist.. Oh the BLUE ones are FINE.

"Not All ~~Men~~ Cockroaches"

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 9 points 5 days ago (1 children)

No. No no no

I would flip tf out if i ever saw one of those

[–] Jessicat@lemmy.world 8 points 5 days ago

If that’s crawling from behind the stove in my kitchen I would still be upset. I am 100% happy for them to live outside.

[–] toxicbubble@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

i feel bad for city roaches tbh, their environment was destroyed so they migrate towards houses and places with food. hoping for a future where every home has natural bug-deterring plants, and bugs can live peacefully in nature again. growing more plants in general would attract birds and natural predators so we won't have to rely on pesticides. personally, bed bugs were the scariest infestation I've had as they're harder to get rid of

[–] zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 4 days ago

Nope, still gross.
