Yes Heinz, the revolution might not be fought with an AR15 against a predator drone. But it can stop an asshole pouring gasoline on your door

You don't need a gun to beat up a fascist. Sure they can be useful in a disciplined and organised group, I'm not saying leftists shouldn't have any guns at all, but the obsession with them is American individualist hero brainworms. A couple friends and some baseball bats can stop an asshole pouring gasoline on your door just fine.

i take your point but there's a ticking clock on gasoline man and one could probably pour gasoline on most suburban or worse homes without neighbors being able to tell what's going on until the fire is already burning.

It's a bit of a fantasy for leftists to have guns - if there were ever a leftward surge across the US (lol), that's when you'd suddenly see how quickly the government can enact stringent gun controls.
The main reason why civilian-owned guns are so widespread is because said civilians are indoctrinated rubes who pose no real threat to capital; that, and so the arms industry has an additional revenue stream - one they'd give up if people were using their guns to form armed soviets

I mean your hypothetical implies it's three of you versus one fascist, in which case the tool has fuck all to do with it (unless the fascist has a gun!)

If you can cultivate these numerical advantages, great. Otherwise you should use whatever technological advantages you can get to even the scales and come out alive. Guns can be pretty good at that.

That's the problem right there, it isn't their door that gets gasoline poured on it, so they don't care.

Or there simply oblivious. I see far too many takes that can't see past the op's personal 1m² bubble.

It's annoying when Europeans are like "I've never even seen a gun, most of our police are unarmed" when throughout Europe soldiers with assault rifles patrol landmarks and transit stations to an extent not even seen in America.

And also, a fuck ton of guns in the US come from Europe. Miss me with that "were so civilized" shit, they export a lot of arms. It's not at the same level as the US, but FN, Beretta, HK, and many others sell cargo ships full of small arms to the US military and many others around the world. Also, the most popular handgun in the US that likely kills the most people is a Glock.
