This is my first dog and he's a double-rescue, willful as hell, I didn't realize they'd have so much specific character. I know his favorite places to walk, when we go downtown among the skyscrapers he looks up at me with this huge grin on his face like he's reaching maximum fulfillment and it just warms my heart. It's hard to get a photo because it's always quick flashes but this one shows it a bit.

When in a playful mood, my cat will turn sideways and become h shaped, arched back and tail up. It's fleeting and I haven't managed a picture yet so here's his paws.

When we hug Each other and she runs into the room to join in on the hug.

You mean, other than just... existing?

• She lets out sweet little barks in her sleep while she's dreaming.
• She loves to lay in the tall grass, but whenever she sees one of us approaching, she'll show her belly for us to scratch it.
• She'll lay under my desk when I have to work just to be close.

It's just normal dog stuff, but she's just so stinkin' cute!

My cat is long since departed but she had a few quirks I very fondly remember.

Whenever she was excited, usually (but not always) about dinner, her tail would be in the shape of a question mark and it would rapidly vibrate as she walked up to you.

Whenever I came home, she would watch me through the window, then run to the door and dramatically flop in front of me. This was the cue that I should position my foot so here back feet could push against it as leverage while I slapped her hard ass just above her tail like she was a bongo.

Her way of waking you up for breakfast was to stand right on your chest, put her nose almost on your lips, close enough for the finest of her whiskers to tickle you as she purred as loudly as possible.

When she slept she would make grumbling noises as she turned over or repositioned. Sometimes it sounded like she was a tired old man finally getting comfortable after a long day. Sometimes it was more like the sound of someone stretching as they yawn, but with their mouth closed. Sometimes it was more of a grunt, as though she were inconvenienced by gravity. You'd randomly hear it from under whatever blanket she was hiding under.

When she wanted to remind you that you were hers, she'd walk up to your leg, headbutt it, but then stand on your foot with her back feet while leaning against you, with her tail curled around your leg. It didn't count if she wasn't standing on you, she'd reposition until it was right.

I miss her a lot, but I'm grateful I had so many years with her. You could often hear her purring clear across the room. Sometimes I would rest my ear against her chest while I petted her, just to flood my senses with only purring and soft fur. I can still hear it.

Sometimes when I walk into the room my dog will just roll over and do this cute little grunt/sigh just inviting me to give her some belly rubs. Sometimes I will turn a corner and she'll be rolled over blocking my way and just gives me this look, like you have to pay the belly rub tax to pass.

She has normal happy where her tail wags side to side.

But when she's REALLY happy her tail wags in circles like a helicopter.

So many things, but the one that pops out is how my cat hugs back when I hold her in my arms.

My left arm is bent over my stomach, her hind legs standing on it, and my right arm is stroking her. She just puts her head on my right shoulder and will bonk my neck, while her fore limb grips my right arm (the feeling is AMAZONE)

Oh, another ! When she sleeps, she usually rests her chin on whatever is here, so being the whatever is really cute too !

The house cat (made famous by this meme) sometimes lies on their back stretched out with their feet in the air and looks at me. Like most humans, it took me a while to figure out what the cat intended. In this case, what they intended was for me to lie down on the floor near them - just barely in arms reach but I MUST NOT reach out to pet them - and stretch along with them. Cat was visibly pleased when I figured it out. So now I just occasionally stretch on the floor with the house cat. It's surprisingly relaxing.

My boy Amos loves sticks, and he'll prance like a show pony whenever he gets one. It's funny watching a 95lb water buffalo tippy tap like a ballerina.

Puts her paw on me when I pet her so she can pet back.

There's a lot.

But I think my favorite little thing is her stretches.

She'll start with her wing, then the leg.

But! That's just cute, not absolutely endearing.

The endearing part is that when she first started doing it, I'd boop the pad of her foot. She'd get grumpy and aggressively preen said foot. But it's so soft I couldn't resist.

And then, she stopped getting annoyed. And she started leaving it there longer. And flapping her wing a little to get my attention if I didn't notice right away.

So, at this point, she's stretching each side a few times a night, which has always been the case, but they're now leisurely stretches and an invitation to boop her foot.

That's fucking love right there

I love when my cat heavy sighs when he's had enough of playing with him or if me or my partner are making too much noise. It's just so expressive and not something you'd expect from a cat. He also pulls himself closer to me when he's laying down if I sit next to him. It's super cute to watch. My cat gently taps me when he wants pets. He is very confident and is not afraid of company and greets people that come over. Ugh I love him so much. I'm gonna go snuggle him now.

My chipoo likes to roll around in grass.

My husky howls when someone says "space camp." I have no reason why that pairing of words triggers her. It's funny tho.
