That was one of the first things it learned.
One of my favorite parts of vr fps like contractors is physically teabagging people. They are already being trained.
They made a Frank Spencer robot.
To be fair, I don't remember MJ being anywhere near stairs, at least not with crazy dance steps.
I’m imagining most robots like this will be good-stepping instead of dancing, so the inability to dance is probably not a big deal.
I think the dancing would probably be pretty bad for insurgency morale actually.
Apparently we stop the impending robot army by just putting up some steps at the border.

Nailed the ending.
I know i dont know shit about robotics but really the absolute first thing they need to do is have a robot that can stand up after falling down. It's how humans learn to walk and it's really a prequisite to walking in general. You just shouldn't walk if you can't get up, that's why babies crawl until they learn to stand up from the floor.
Almost assuredly it can, I think it broke or went into a failsafe or something.
Sure but it didn't so assuredly it can't. Once the video of it getting up after falling up stairs then it will be assuredly it can! So we wait for the evidence, and then we can be assuredly satisfied with your assertion:)

Funny, but somehow that's the most fair take that I think I've heard on this video and these robots.
I imagine it wasn't trained for these lighting conditions and a monotone grey floor. But funny nonetheless.
I think it’s because it’s a pre programmed routine and the only autonomous thing it does is self balance it’s not even looking at the environment. These Unitree robots are nothing more than advanced RC toys. If you look at other videos with these robots you often see someone with a remote controller in their hands behind their back. If you buy one and want it to move autonomously and take into account the environment with computer vision you have to program that yourself.
If it was me falling over the steps in a dance performance, I'd stay down after the second time too.

Comedian Fred Berry, the guy who played Rerun from "What's Happening", came with headliner Pauly Shore at a stand-up show in my hometown back in like 2000. Famous for his high voice, high energy, and red beret - he accidentally walked right off the frontend of the stage mid-set. He was portly, so it wasn't graceful. He continues the rest of his set in the pit until he introduces Pauly on stage -- to which Pauly books it top speed and jumps in after him.
MC: Would you 2 fools get outta there!
Pauly: No. We like down here!
Rerun: We've accepted our fate. It's closer to hell down here.
Pauly: Trust me, I'd be easier if you just bring everyone into the pit.

Sure it doesn't exactly know where its feet are, but... like how many people do you know that could do 5 or 10 seconds of that?
Also the leg flailing was extremely rapid and thus comical.

I first didn't see when the guy comes to pick up the not. So they're really short... Hmm. Let's keep it that way.
You laugh now, but you'll remember these days fondly when the robot simply fell down instead of getting up and moonwalking while spraying bullets
Honestly, there was a short time where I thought the prat fall might have been an intentional bit… then it just lay there and eventually the guy shows up to drag it off stage lol.
I dunno about Michael Jackson, but he's perfected the drunk uncle at a wedding.

At first I was like "Oh shit, it didn't completely eat shit on the stairs" and then it ended up completely eating shit the second time it got near the stairs. 🤣
I have not played BL4, but I recently replayed 1-3. 2 is by far the best IMO, but man does leveling break midway through the game if you're doing side quests and/or DLC. You wind up super overpowered.
