I imagine it wasn't trained for these lighting conditions and a monotone grey floor. But funny nonetheless.

I think it’s because it’s a pre programmed routine and the only autonomous thing it does is self balance it’s not even looking at the environment. These Unitree robots are nothing more than advanced RC toys. If you look at other videos with these robots you often see someone with a remote controller in their hands behind their back. If you buy one and want it to move autonomously and take into account the environment with computer vision you have to program that yourself.
