The way the model in the bottom right is staring back at him makes it the best picture

"This is it. It finally worked! I found love."

proceeds to choke on his tongue and then runs away

I just want to know more about what’s going on in these pictures. Does he stalk this model and only ever wears the same shirt?

[–] fizzle@quokk.au 38 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Its not the same model. Its the same day. He's at a car show.

car show

oh, I hadn't noticed

[–] Visstix@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago

I think it's just the same day where he thought it would be funny to take awkward photos.

If you think those are all the same woman, then you're racist

[–] LwL@lemmy.world 5 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Being bad at identifying faces with features you don't commonly see isn't racism, it's inevitable. Also some people are just bad at identifying faces even if they're not fully face blind.

I'll remember that the next time someone calls me racist for getting them confused with a different black person who looks similar to them

Imagine it, you're just doing your job and this weirdo comes up and starts staring at you point blank? Id be afraid to get murdered

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 2 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

It's their job to be stared at, they agreed to do it. They're not in a back alley, they're in a brightly lit room full of people with lots of expensive cars that are probably all under camera surveillance. Those women are safe.

Hey, fuck you buddy. Their job is to be stared at, yes, but not mad dogged by some blank faced dude 3 feet from their face. That's victim shaming, shame on you.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Victim blaming? There's no victim here. No crime has been committed. No one has been assaulted.

Take your shame game somewhere else, dude.

"their job Is to be stared at, they agreed to do it, they're not in some back alley, these women are safe"

Get real. A barista is "safe" till a dude waits till she gets off and follows her to her car. This is a bad joke at best, stalking at worst.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 19 hours ago

Okay? Literally anyone could ambush anybody, that's no reason for the barista to accuse all her male customers of being potential attackers.

This dude is clearly just being a goober. If he had any intention of actually attacking these women he probably wouldn't be putting his face so close to them in front of cameras.

Assuming the worst is not an effective argumentation style.

Also, it's nowhere close to the definition of stalking. It's a single isolated incident, he doesn't follow them from one location to another, he's not targeting anyone in particular, he's literally just at a car show going from one model to the next taking awkward photos.

You're really diluting the meanings of words, and that does not help women who are victims of actual crimes. You should probably think a little more deeply about the consequences of your apparent need to manufacture outrage in order to signal your own ostensible virtue.

[–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They are scantily clad women hired to stand in front of cars at a car show, unfortunately being creeped at is their job. Though in this case I think the dude is doing it on purpose for the pictures.

That's no excuse to not have some dignity while you work

[–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

I totally agree with you. I’m just not sure how you can add dignity to the job of being eye candy at a car show.
