If i can give a serious answer, yes. I have had to lie about political beliefs before, for instance, and fake sarcasm helps with that.

meta-sarcasm is still sarcasm, although maybe re-purposed ... but uh ... I was told I was really at/about this in middle-school.

I think they just didn't like the possibility that what I actually meant could possibly something other than what they wanted to hear. Something I screened against, above and beyond the questions of what we did or did not agree-upon.
