I was supposed to clean the house before my folks visited for the little one's first birthday. The lot of us spent the week sick at home instead. It wasn't too terrible, just full of mucus and lots of schedule upheaval. Hopefully we'll all be fully recovered by the coming week before I go back to work.

Thanks for asking, I really needed to get that out.

Builders robbed me of sleep and messed up my morning and work schedule, so had to play catchup yesterday and there will be a storm on Monday workwise. Weird weather has dampened my mood and energy, so my weight is down overall but has yoyo'd a bit

Overall okay, I suspect just lacking some sleep and haven't socially recharged. Howzit with you?

Starting to really feel good about the move to Dorset, we've already made friends with some of the parents and got to do a playdate at the nearby beach yesterday. We got rained on, but all the same.

How about yourself, doing okay?

(I'd kill for rain right now)

God I miss it. I have an appointment in London today and it's going to be boiling.

After a week of driving around Wales (shhh, don't tell the tourists how nice it is), I'm glad to be "working" (week long team training in Romania 🍻🍻), so - apart from the training I'm giving - it's another nice relaxing week.

I'm not writing this to boast, I'm writing this to remind myself that work isn't completely terrible

Crashed into a canal don't recommend, it has however retored my faith in humanity everyone involved has been phoning or visiting to check. Bikes now out of the lock phone is rippers, but my keys are there, and the lockkeeper is dropping it off. Got away with the physical injuries just a scraped need and some muscles ache from landing. Got a bloody nose from the impact

Just left with a wait and see if the goose poo and rat wee causes an issue

Can't complain really sun is shining didn't die

I was on the gravel part I went onto the cement bit in the photo but the gravel has lowered over the years side wall of my tyre grabbed the brick and tipped me in.

As it looked in the picture luckily enough to break my fall and I missed the raised bricks on the side. I can't remember if I was able to stand I pushed off the bottom. Lock keeper said about 2m.

Bike spent the night in there boat went over it so I guess 2m is right.

Back to work tomorrow on said bike after a clean and a service. Phone seems to have survived condensation in the camera lenses and lock button doesn't work.

Front light seems to be ok

Lost my shocks headphones

Everything else is all good 🪿🐸

There's a poster on Lemmy with multiple alt accounts that would be very interested in your story 😉.

It’s been nice to stay home and not have to travel for work. It’s been surprisingly cold for May, and mid week I was tempted to put my winter woolly socks on. Next I’ll attempt to make lamb shoulder on a coal BBQ to top the weekend. Let’s see how that goes.

Planet Rock just did a 50th anniversary special of Rainbow Raising. My first ever album and I still love it. Played it loud and proud just last weekend from start to finish. Lamb is in the BBQ…
