I would vote for someone who promised to legalize duels again. Having roughly half as many bloated egos to deal with seems way more manageable.

iirc, historically, the practice of dueling eventually died out because "professionals" would go around insulting rich poofs, instigating duels against idiots with more ego than sense for easy $.

More typically they'd go after farmers and merchants since only the elite and soldiers could carry swords and were trained to use them.

Hand the average guy a sword, have him face a trained fighter, and he'll be kebab meat in half a minute.
