Shit I do this as an elder millennial. I only ever have one at a time, and now that paramount and hbo are together, HBO is out of the rotation, while I've never been interested in a paramount one.

What doesn't fit here?
The core of the story has to be technology focused.
- If article mentions "AI" in a sentence and then talks about business economics that doesn't make it tech news.
- Gaming is too many layers removed from technology. There are many dedicated communities that are a better fit for it.
- Transporation is too many layers removed from technology. EVs while use many cool technologies have many dedicated communities that are a better fit for it.
- Entertainment is too many layers removed from technology. While sometimes it can fit here, business or cultural aspects of it are a better fit for dedicated communities.
- Cybersecurity. While it heavily focuses on technology, most of the time it's too technical for most people who are not already invested in it. Should be posted in a dedicated communities unless it has broader connection to other tech areas.
Post guidelines
Title format
Post title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL format
Post URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefix
Opinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefix
Country prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

Gen X here. You want me to pay $60-70 for a game with Denuvo crap on it, littered with microtransactions, and has shit scores on MetaCritic?
Fuck that bullshit!
Most shows being made are crap. They're designed to be background noise.
Aside from a few flagship shows that are actually creatively interesting and made to be engaging, there's no reason to keep a subscription going for the high fructose corn syrup shows they offer.
My wife likes to pretend she does this but only successfully cancels any service after being reminded numerous times lol
My partner likes to pretend he does this but then his family wants in and then they want to watch other shows and then he feels bad cancelling so now we're paying for everyone's streaming habits.
Gen X and the only streaming service I pay for is Apple TV (as part of my Apple One family plan), because Severance, Silo, and Foundation are awesome and they have the highest quality:filler ratio of any streaming service. Used to be the best value, too. Now it's at least close.
And I don't buy video games at full price. EA wants $60 for the Mass Effect Legendary trilogy (the first three games with all the DLC except one they lost the source code to), but it goes on sale for $6 all the time and that's what I paid. The first game is the worst of the four, but it sets up the trilogy and a lot of choices from it affect the other two (the fourth doesn't care about anything you do in the trilogy, but IIRC it asks if you played a guy or a girl and then never references the choice). Oh, I got the fourth one for $4 because I opted for deluxe, the base was $3. Joke's on me, Deluxe includes online content and the servers were shut down years ago. Still not mad, for $4 I still got like 20-30 hours out of it.
If you like Betheslop games, those go on sale for $10 or less all the time (at least Skyrim and Fallout 4, anything after sucked ass and I don't think Starfield even goes on sale). The better ones (Oblivion and Fallout 3) go on sale for $5 or less quite often, and that's with all their DLC.
Mostly I play Xbox 360 games on my Xbox Series X. I still think the graphics were good then, and IMO the games are better. More story, less slop. Oblivion started the DLC craze in 2006 with the Horse Armour, and Mass Effect 3 started the loot crate craze in 2012 (advantage to the Legendary Edition version of ME3, all that shit's stripped out). Anything before then is going to be a lot better, because it was more about entertaining you and less about fleecing you.
