They’re only concern is forcing their “morality” on others, not improving themselves.

Also, I don't think the guy that drowned a whole planet gets to be the good guy.

Ever.

He also killed a LOT of babies. So many babies, and children, and entire cities of people just turned to ash - oh I'm sorry "salt." Even that one lady who committed the horrible sin of "looking back" who apparently was worth mentioning but not important enough for anyone to write her name down.

And it's still of some contention as to whether or not those babies actually got to go to heaven.

Most any server will tell you that the after church crowd is the worst.

BY FAR! And it's even worse when they leave those fucking fake $20 bills with Bible verses on them.

Those are church bucks! They're meant to be passed back to the church in the donation plate. You can also mail them in and write off the donation.

(Note: don't take tax advice from strangers on the Internet)

How many Stanley nickels can I get for 20 church bucks?

LITERALLY saw a Bible study group do this at a diner today. One of the men asked, "You have one of those tracts?" And folded it under a plate.

And how come the worst injustices against humanity that I know of often involve religious leaders and not public school teachers?

The exact explanation is that people will only be dumb enough to believe in fairytales if you keep squeezing it in their brains from as young as possible, from the moment they're able to understand anything at all. There needs to be a constant feed of the fairytale, and anything competing, like science and reason and independent thought, must be kept out at all cost or these kids may start seeing the actual light of reason.

Can't have that happen, they might realize that their political system is just a dictatorship from the rich dressed up as democracy, can't risk that.

In the battle of knowledge vs. religion, they believe religion is better and should replace knowledge.

Teaching about god in public schools might actually improve morality, if it is done from a neutral outside perspective. Something along the lines of "These are the major organized religions that are relevant today or were relevant historically. Let's compare their societal effects across different regions and times."

It actually could be funny to have a polytheist explain the ten commandments.

THOU SHALL HAVE NO GOD'S BEFORE ME

"Well you see children. There are MANY gods. Everyone is bound to have favorites. Let me tell you some of mine."
