There’s a bum yelling loudly and a bunch of people walking as fast as possible. There’s a line at Starbucks.

I noticed that too. People just didn't even think about it back then. Sad.
Hats 'n ties, that's my type of attire!
This needs to make a comeback.
(These were even factory workers during the great depression!)

I mean, that's an almost meaningless distinction across most of history I guess, but if I understand correctly, hats and dress attire were almost mandatory, those days. In that location and city...
All that open pavement reserved for cars, and the pedestrians have to stay packed onto the sidewalk. 😢
