You'd be very surprised how resilient they are with just a little kindness where necessary.
Like previous posters have said, point coloring is not unique to Siamese. Here's our seal point boy on the day he was adopted almost eight years ago. He was a feral that my GF's parents were taking care of.
He used to bite ankles at night, and he was so small that he could get under the bedroom door of her crooked old apartment after we'd thrown him out!
Here he is today.
20+ pounds. Me and the GF have been living together for about seven years. At his impressive girth, he definitely cannot fit under the bedroom door of any apartment, no matter how old and crooked. He has, thankfully, stopped biting ankles at night. He also got quite a bit toastier over the years (as seal points do).
Wow he darkened right up. Almost didn't recognize him for a colorpoint.
That looks like a Ragdoll. I adopted one years ago, she looked similar. Here’s a pic of her when I got her:

Definitely has point coloration in the coat, but Siamese cats have more angular faces and lanky bodies, though I'm not sure how much that shows in kittens. Wish you'd kept the sweet lil guy!
Yeah, it being a kitten makes it difficult to actually determine, agreed.
There's a lot of cats in this neighborhood. I mean, a lot... Generations upon generations. I and many of my friendly neighbors all look after them to one degree or another.
I have a Siamese (well, I think; she looks like one but I don't know anything about cat genetics).
One thing I think is interesting is that, when she came to us, she looked very much like your picture. The older she got, though, the more the dark coloration from her nose migrated and spread.
Now she looks like this. (Please try to ignore my disheveled hair. A recent surgery has reduced my opportunities to shower.)

As I understand it, that’s very normal with cats with point coloration.

Thanks! All told I have five ladies, human and otherwise, who seem to be collaborating to ensure my comfort and well-being. They're all doing good jobs and I'm grateful towards each one of them.
See, I've heard that before! The dark coloration spreads a bit with age. Honestly, like you, no idea. I've had striking looking kittens show up before, and three yrs later, come back and say hello.
I believe this little one will at some point.
That's a good lookin cat right there and if I were a betting man, I'd wager it's siamese. Just my opinion, of course.
I've also always heard siamese are a bit temperamental.

Yeah, Ripley used to be kind of a jerk. She's always been patient with our young kid, though, and has started warming up to me these last few months.
Thank you! I'm on the upswing from the surgery, at least in theory. I'm scheduled to see the surgeon for a follow-up tomorrow and, honestly, if he does nothing but confirm I don't seem to have an infection, I'll probably be on my way to feeling fantastic. The surgery was on my spine and I'm still getting accustomed to being able to do things like use stairs without whimpering.

Here is mine with similar colouration (and looked more like yours when she was that age) who I believe is not Siamese. I’m not sure what her mix is, but I have a feeling she’s not purebred and I’m doubtful she has Siamese in her.

I'm beginning to believe (based on the help here) my little fren might just be a purty kitten, not Siamese. Got a feeling it'll wander back around someday. It's kinda a thing with kits around here.
