Pride flags are sometimes hung up by businesses and banks, unlike nationalist flags, which sre symbols never used by private property owners and banks

I see American flags flown by just about every business I see. I don't know the last time I've seen a pride flag flown by a business. Most I see are social media pfps for 1 month. And yet patsocs never have an issue with their blessed Amerikkkan flag

Depends on the city. While I hate the petite-burger class, I do have respect for the small businesses that display the pride flag. What I don't respect is that they're still petite-burger.

My old vet was ran by private equity, shutdown out of the blue and left all their customers out to dry.

I switched to a new vet, mainly because they seemed cool with the pride flag out front. Owner was larping to me that her business was struggling because that private equity vet took most of her customers, waa waa.

They charged me $60 for two deworming pills that were $4 each online, but I couldn't buy them online without a prescription, for my cats.

It was also insanely expensive just for a routine checkup on my cats, and $80/each to check their poopie for worms.

You're right, I hate it when banks and corporations hang up pride flags because it's disingenuous and deceptive. We should have rainbow flags all over town hung up by The People instead. In case tone wasn't clear, I'm not being ironic; pride flags are great, but capitalists trying to pretend to be pro-human shouldn't be getting credit for putting them up.

pride should return to its roots of throwing shit at police

Unrelated to the post, also fuck patsocs.

Am I the only one who thinks using the Gonzalo boiling babies meme is extremely cringe? Guy massacred innocent peasants and community organizers, and was proud of it. Its no different than using a pinochet helicopter meme.

[–] azalea_simsii@lemmygrad.ml 27 points 4 days ago

nah, i agree completely. imo it's pretty cringe to reference Gonzalo in any way other than "fuck this guy"

I agree. I can't say I've seen it here, but elsewhere whenever people use that meme, it's usually because they're salivating at the thought of getting to massacre entire villages for not being "loyal" enough to them.

Yeah ok they are hung up by corporations and banks but WHY are they hung up by corporations and banks? Because the supporting the marginalised group gives those corporations and banks moral points with the majority of the working class such that it is beneficial to their profits to do so. They certainly aren't doing it because it hurts their profits.

Therefore we can safely assume that doing the exact opposite of that is going to be a less popular position among the working class.

I also like how this isn't like, "communist" architecture. Fairly certain Russians have been building shit in this style long before 1920.
