Over the past few days, @MrKaplan@lemmy.world/@MrKaplan@piefed.world has banned multiple users, blocked entire comms, and now defederated from Anarchist.Nexus over their anti-Zionist stance.

This extreme overreaction and general power trippin' bastard behavior stems from Lemmy.world's history of pro-Zionist views. And now MrKaplan is seeking out the flimsiest pretext to to enact his own personal vendetta.

Free Palestine, Death to Israel, Death to Zionism.

A user who puts "Murder All [Group]" in their display name has asked to be banned, why get upset that the request was fulfilled? Don't know the specifics of the other cases here but if the stated reason is true, those may be reasonable as well. Being a dick on the internet using somebody else's storage and bandwidth is a privilege, not a right.

Looks more like .ml agendaposting about normal moderation.

Oh.....yeah, that makes way more sense then my first thought. I thought it was like a cult thing with aliens. And by aliens I don't mean humans from a different country. I mean creatures from another planet.

I thought Zion was some alien, and Zionism was the cult religion around it.

And this is why I run my own instance and I get to decide who to ban and who to follow. Do you know guys that with your own single user instance you don't get to see in your "all" feed anything but what you actually subscribed? So no need for bans, defederation or censorship.

And no, its like download a docker compose and run it. Indeed, you need a domain, not for everybody, but definitely not that hard at all.

I wasn't being funny, this is exactly what I think: your personal instance is the only way to prevent censorship. Yes it takes skills and effort, sorry man but that's the way, nothing is free, in the sense of effortless.

Calling for the end of a state is not calling for genocide.

Just as calls for the end of Rhodesia where not calls for genocide of white people but rather the creation of Zimbabwe and a home for the people who lived there before the colonial state.

If I say 'death to nazi germany,' it's pretty clear to people with a functional pre-frontal cortext that I mean that the regime should no longer exist, the state in its current form shouldn't exist, and anyone wanting to enforce such a harmful ideology likely shouldn't exist.

Israel, a state younger than the invention of computer programming; a state which was born from terrorism and genocide and just never stopped; a state whose history has not seen a single day of peace, nor been the victim in a single conflict it has been involved in; should not be protected nor praised -- its ideology is hate, Zionism is a direct copy of nazi ideology, down to its finest point of taking unrelated esoteric religious practices to justify its monsterous behavior, the only noticeable difference being the poorly defined 'German' scratched out hastily and a even more poorly defined 'Jew' written in its place like a slur.

There is no overexaggeration of any crimes you have ever heard performed in the name of zionism; there is no actual known limit to their depravity. If you can imagine something awful, the IDF have not only done it, they've done it on camera then made a Tiktok dancing in their victim's clothing afterwards.

The entire society is rotted, and has been since its birth, which again was closer in time to us than the invention of the Jet airplane.

Death to Israel is the only possible moral stance.
