It's more of a music FOSS collection. You want Seeker (Soulseek client), Tubular (NewPipe fork I use for Bandcamp + Souncloud + Youtube music videos), Metrolist (Youtube Music app with amazing caching + downloading + favorite syncing + playlist exports), Pipepipe (which I use for Youtube and Peertube regular stuff, also great at handling offline usage for bad internet, it has the cutting-edge YT unblocking), and ListenBrainz + MusicSearch for MusicBrainz scrobbles + cached Brainz searches.

One thing that annoys me is ListenBrainz cannot cache offline scrobbles. Is that too much to ask? Oh well. It produces an RSS feed of all my listens when I am online, lets you whitelist apps (Pipepipe is not whitelisted, VLC is, podcast apps are not, etc)

Basically I am a god and record companies work for me now. Any other beastmode individuals got tools to add to my repertoire?

Spotube, my only Spotify app is in a pretty bad state development-wise, Transistor is cool but I'm not big on internet radio, https://f-droid.org/packages/org.woheller69.audio_analyzer_for_android/ and https://f-droid.org/packages/de.fff.ccgt/ are great but only if you make music

Readest. FOSS ebook reader that has some nice customization options and infinite scrolling.

Shame it uses Google Play Services. I have neglected to find a better ebook app since I just port everything to my ereader. It is important for previewing

PixelPlayer. Local music player.

How is it versus VLC? I've been looking to find a new home for music-only since turning MusicBrainz scrobbles on-and-off to avoid scrobbling films is annoying

The best app I found this year is Tasker. Not for automation, for privacy. It lets me block background telemetry on apps that have no business connecting to servers I did not authorize. The UI is from 2012 and the learning curve is steep, but once you understand it you realize how much data every app is siphoning without your consent.

Maybe try out the RethinkDNS app. Its amazing at detecting and blocking apps via its firewall and DNS blocklist feature. Has a lot more features you can customise. Its probably the best privacy app on any OS, period.

Rethink is amazing and the only real option I've found for nonstandard vpns

I didn’t discover it, but made it.

It’s a progressive web app, so works on any phone, including Linux phones.
