I haven't heard that the NATO alliance had ever approved this war in the first place.

Individually some bootlicker member politicians tried their best and made some very apaling (even for them) and mask off statements.

Like " international law doesn't apply to Iran"

Because they didn't. But the pedo Oompa-Loompa hade to be force to clean his own shit alone.

Ha thanks, now I want a video of a Oompa Loompa remix song about the Iran War.

Nato chief said on day 1

It's really important what the U.S. is doing here, together with Israel, because it is taking out, degrading the capacity of Iran to get its hands on nuclear capability

You are whitewashing Nato

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 6 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Literally the headline

NATO's Rutte praises US, Israeli military action against Iran but says alliance won't be involved

So at no point did NATO ever approve of this war, what random individuals may say is irrelevant.

You think praising is not a sign of approval? Nato despite not participating directly in the offense. It still give logistical support, inteligence and surveillance. Even participating in "defensive operation" should not be provides in an illegal war

[–] floquant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

NATO is its constituent countries, not Rutte.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

If it would've been any other weak country with no danger to their bootlicker forces they would've already been bombing schools from day 1.
Iran made them think twice.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

He is the goddamn secretary general of Nato, Nato members did not condemn his statement . They voted for this fool to be in the position. Nato talks about opening the straight of Hormoz yet they are not negotiating with Iran and are not putting pressure on them . They are involved in non combatant support to the war

I don't even know what you think your point is. The reason nobody else can intervene here even if they want to is that Trump hasn't given other countries any political cover. Didn't consult anyone, and has expressed interest in leaving once the straight is open which leaves allies holding the bag. Even those who want to bomb Iran can't touch this because it's political suicide.

Some idiots will support Trump as long as NATO/EU tells them they should.

If NATO wants to maintain any semblance of being a defensive alliance then I don’t see how they could possibly aid in a war of aggression.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 0 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

well the war on Libya was a war of aggression

Good thing too. We don't need this to turn into Iraq 2.0.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Iraq couldn't fight back.
You can compare it to Vietnam should the clowns decide to send meatbags.

[–] sik0fewl@piefed.ca 1 points 10 hours ago

Most of NATO said no to that, too.
