8. Misinformation is prohibited.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. So which is it, are we going to stop the war, or are we about to go all in with a ground force invasion? There are articles on lemmy that say completely opposing things.
The leadership of the country waging the war are saying completely opposing things, to be fair.
The war is over, it's not a war, no troops, but we're moving troops. We don't need allies, send allies, allies are cowards, all sorts of things.
Can we in the rest of the world not get involved in yet another ground war in the Middle East?

It will be more like Afghanistan. Iran is mostly mountainous and guerilla warfare will be the default. The US relies too much on technology which will not that useful in that environment. Don't forget that the Iran army has been training for years for this type of conflict. Afghanistan was a disaster for American troops but will be nothing compared to Iran.
They aren't going to go full invasion, they will take islands, maybe a foothold on the straits.

Literally everything has a left bias occurring to biased media fact checker guy. Also yes, it’s just a guy’s opinion.
Unfortunately very few sources reporting on the war are credible.

So not the most credible source you could imagine. But on the other hand, Wikipedia doesn't list any examples of Mediaite being fake news. And in this case, Mediaite is just summarizing a CBS article - the CBS article should obviously have just been linked instead.
In any case, it seems to me that Trump has two options: 1) Give consessions to Iran to save the global oil market or 2) ground invasion. Since I can't imagine Trump surrendering, no matter how game theory rational it would be, I am expecting ground operations.
The NYTimes is one of the least credible sources on anything related to Israel. Taking their assessment of credibility of a news organization destroys your own.
