Anyone who disapproves of Trump isn’t MAGA, therefore 100% of them approve

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 31 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Yep... This is basically just a tautology.

[–] huppakee@piefed.social 14 points 3 weeks ago

Support amongst supporters: 100%

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 10 points 3 weeks ago

100% of my supporters support me.

Lol!

9 out of 10 dentists recommend Colgate (when compared to not using anything at all).

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 19 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

100% of the doctors who recommended Colgate recommended Colgate.

[–] inari@piefed.zip 3 points 3 weeks ago

Big if true

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That one dentist though...

[–] LordPassionFruit@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Had a dentist explain this to me one time, because he knew someone who was the one dentist. The argument is that many toothpastes contain high amounts of sugar, so improper brushing with toothpaste can actually be worse than proper brushing without it.

The argument of the 10th dentist is that the toothpaste matters less than the technique.

[–] prettybunnys@piefed.social 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

All 10 dentists agree that brushing with a fluoride toothpaste is a good idea though

[–] ramasses@social.ozymandias.club 1 points 3 weeks ago

I think I can find a gynecologist that disagrees though, 10/11 doctors agree that brushing with fluoride toothpaste is good.

[–] Denjin@feddit.uk 4 points 3 weeks ago

9 out of 10 dentists who we gave an all expenses paid vacation to Florida for our Colgate Convention say they recommed Colgate.

[–] Asfalttikyntaja@sopuli.xyz 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

What did that one dentist recommend?

In other news this week:

In North Korea's 2026 parliamentary elections, Kim Jong Un achieved a landslide win as the Workers' Party of Korea and its coalition partners reportedly captured 99.93 per cent of the ballot and every available seat, according to Yonhap News Agency, which cited state media reports.

With a reported turnout of 99.99 per cent, the polls were conducted on March 15 to select deputies for the 15th Supreme People's Assembly.

I assume the 0.07% are soon going to die from natural causes as part of their government mandated "being shot with a bazooka" test?

[–] assembly@lemmy.world 15 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

If it wouldn’t be so depressing, I would lookup the figures surrounding the poll as well as methodology. Was it like 6 people all in the same room. In what world do 100% of any group of humans agree with anything outside of a cult. Ohhhhhhh

[–] rainwall@piefed.social 16 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

Nah, poll was fine. Its all in their stupid presentation. Check out the hilarious tiny text in the the bottom right corner:

"66%/31% split among non maga"

The above could as easily been said "Vast majority of people polled disapprove of Trump, at record levels" but instead they teased out the only positive bit of data, blew it up to take up 99% of the screen, then hid the real polling results in a way that they can claim they referenced them accurately.

A modern example of "Lies, damn lies, and statistics."

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't know if I agree. Is the point of this to show good news for him or was it to show a political reality that no matter what happens his base will never ever abandon him?

[–] rainwall@piefed.social 1 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I think the statistic shown coveys literally zero info.To be MAGA is to support trump. Its the definiton of the movement. 20-30% of the people polled will always 100% support him. Its why he made his famous quip in 2016 about being able to kill a man on 5th avenue in broad daylight and still get away with it. For those people, being a rich, racist asshole rapist who never faces consequences is their dream, and they love him for living it.

The most people can hope for from his diehard crowd is that they dont feel up to voting in the midterms becsuse hes not on the ballot.

The actual hope has largely been about his 2024 colaltion falling apart, the young men, the independents, the latinos, the people who vote for low gas prices and cheap groceries. His support in those groups have been destroyed from a dozen directions, and a forever war in Iran that permanently raises gas priced $1-2/gal and kills american troops aint gonna bring them back.

[–] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 5 points 3 weeks ago

Yup. A death cult.

[–] thirdBreakfast@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago

They wouldn't spend time claiming this if they weren't worried about it. Epstein, gas prices, and forever wars maybe having an effect.

[–] Noite_Etion@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago

100% of Trump supporters like supporting Trump

[–] scarabic@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I’m kind of surprised because I would expect at least some of them to want him to be even Trumpier than he is. Why hasn’t he invaded Greenland already? Nuke fucking Gaza and be done with it. And so on. No way all of MAGA is completely satisfied with what they’ve got.

[–] aaa999@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

dumb dumbs dont have policies they want

this is the central thing that people dont get. they want their guy winning because it feels good to be in the group that is winning. if their guy is on tv saying "i am winning" they are happy. if you had the president you wanted and that president did the opposite of what you wanted, you would be mad. not these guys.

[–] Tenthrow@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

what does it say at the bottom? 66% / 31 % split?

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

66% / 31 % split among non-MAGA

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Did this actually happen or is this fake?

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)
[–] GalacticGrapefruit@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

Oh good fuck, have their brains just completely rotted out of their ears?

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

We are going to get to the point where they do the ant death spiral.

[–] regedit@lemmy.zip 1 points 3 weeks ago

Lead is a hell of a drug!

[–] huppakee@piefed.social 0 points 3 weeks ago

You guys have brains?

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 weeks ago

Oh, 100% of GOP representatives.

Got it, so a nothingburger portrayed as something meaningful. Still ridiculous, and I'm pretty sure wrong — but it doesn't matter.

[–] bcgm3@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

I'm reminded of an episode of "Penn & Teller's Bullshit" about how people manipulate language and numbers in order to persuade people.

Sorry for this crappy link but it's the most relevant 4 minutes of the episode (Season 4, Episode 9).

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

In other news, water is wet

[–] stupidcasey@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I doubt that static is even close to true, surely the majority of crack addicts hate crack I mean addiction is a chemical compulsion to do something bad for you I doubt they love or even like crack once it starts ruining their lives.

[–] Sadbutdru@sopuli.xyz 1 points 3 weeks ago

"It's complicated"

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 weeks ago

Even all the antifas approve! /s
