$ 1'800, yeah no.

This is a surrealist masterpiece

[–] mcavoya@lemmy.world 12 points 11 hours ago

I laughed WAY too hard at this. The closer I looked, the more detail I saw, the harder I laughed.

......Capybarista.

Second time i see this image in my feed so for anyone wondering, no this is not AI generated :D

Last time i thought it was but found out it wasnt.

The composition really screams AI

[–] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 20 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (1 children)

Yeah thats why i thought so too, but this artist is just a fucking madman and exclusively draws weird shit like this. I cant remember the name but its easy enough to reverse image search.

lol, the name of the image link

[–] calliope@piefed.blahaj.zone 17 points 16 hours ago

I appreciate that the artist mentions what the capybara is doing.

after the battle they harvested the crème brûlée because nothing goes to waste in the jungle

He's been around longer than AI fuckery. He also builds elaborate story lines around these animals, especially the raccoon.

on this topic, please join the community of AI or not [!ai_or_not@piefed.social] !ai_or_not@piefed.social if you are interested and help building up resources to detect AI, and help resolve unclear cases.

sorry, not sorry for the shameless plug 😬

edit:/ can someone please tell me what it the proper way to link to communities?

[–] BurntWits@sh.itjust.works 2 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

!ai_or_not@piefed.social

Put “!ai_or_not@piefed.social” in square brackets, followed by “https://piefed.social/c/ai_or_not ” in round brackets, with no space in between. At least that’s how I’ve always done it. So it should look like [ !ai_or_not@piefed.social ] ( https://piefed.social/c/ai_or_not ) but without the spaces

you can also just type the exclamation point and the name, and most clients should autocomplete the link for you

Ai generated images always hit me as stale and soulless. They strike me as the repeated distillation of a statistical average.

Even putting aside the absurdity of the subject, this doesn't give me those vibes.

[–] red_tomato@lemmy.world 2 points 16 hours ago

This doesn’t really strike me as AI. AI composition tend to place the subject right in the center (the most statistically average place for a subject).

[–] Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf 8 points 14 hours ago

Just a slice of life really.

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 9 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

What is the capybara making here?

Continental cuisine as it was intended. Only uncultured Americans use a blow-torch to achieve caramelization.

capyccino ☕

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 4 points 13 hours ago

Wow. This made my day. Art is amazing.

[–] saltnotsugar@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

For the first time in my life I’m not sure if an image is safe for work.

[–] bingbong@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 11 hours ago

I’m gonna make this my wallpaper at work, only way to know

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 9 hours ago

depends on if you are a farmer or not

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

you can tell this is fake because when the fire meets the milk, it produces only soot and no steam, everything else is fine

[–] Photonic@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

How do you know there is no steam mixed with the smoke? I get it, lots of AI generated stuff but not everything has to be fake. Sometimes there is a very logical explanation if you just think about it. I think this is one of those times. The only thing I’m not certain of is whether capybaras like babyccinos.

I like how everybody has a job on this weird creme brulee production process
