Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Gee who could have seen that threatening your allies for over a year and then asking for help in a illegal, ill planned to distract from the Epstein files would have your allies declining your invitation for help.

Is it a WW if Germany is not in it, though...? 🤔

[–] GoofSchmoofer@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If it's not from the German region then it's just a sparkling WW

Did the world war start in German regions though?

Well the first World War started in the Balkan region and then expanded to Belgium/France and the second World War started in Poland/France.

So what I am saying is, that the World War never started out in Germany.

The USA flag in the photo makes this so much better

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 1 points 1 day ago

Huh, I thought it made it much worse?

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 2 points 1 day ago

Can we get something stronger?

Like, idk, sanctions against a country committing war crimes?

"But, please do call us in the future if you ever seek help for your mental health issues, recover, and atone"

Their leader should do what the other guy did. Shoot himself in his bunker.

"Remember a few years ago when Europe was suddenly cut off from Russian oil, and so America rushed in and saved us by pushing Russia out of Ukraine and forcing Russia to surrender, and so in that way, Europe didn't have to modernize and reduce its dependence on oil? Remember that? ... Yeah, me neither."

Good for them but I also wonder if this is exactly what Trump and his minions want.

Like now he can go back and claim he is going to tarriff every country who doesnt help some insane amount until they send forces.

I mean this would require thinking ahead and I do not want to attribute any actual forethought to these people but it seems an obvious play to me.

[–] Arghblarg@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 days ago

He'll use this as an excuse to push again to leave NATO. I say, fine -- we're already organizing new alliances so go pound sand, USA.

[–] manxu@piefed.social 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The last round of tariffs were declared unconstitutional for the most part, so probably not where a planning mind would go.

Maybe he's more thinking that the Europeans and East Asians need to oil just as much, so they should do something to keep it flowing?

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 2 points 2 days ago

He said the second part out loud in a tweet.

What? You don't want to put hundreds of German soldiers and billions of dollars in equipment at risk to prop up an industry that doesn't affect you nearly as much as it affects us???
