Of these options, cheesecake!

I let my cat, Cheddar, sniff the picture. He checked all the cakes but he seemed more focused on the top row. Do with his fuzzy knowledge what you will... A fuzzy orange kitty, close up

Pie is always the answer, but of those, the cheese cake.

Cheesecake is a pie

A peach pie. A nice cobbler.

The custard pie. (cheesecake)

[–] edgarde@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

I consider sprinkles the herpes of pastry, but even if the other 5 cakes weren't disgusting, I'd still take the cheesecake.

And don't get me started on fondant.

[–] disregardable@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 months ago

That's tough. You could roll a dice.

The cheesecake.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 4 points 2 months ago

I mean that cheesecake appears to have fresh strawberries.

[–] glibg@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 months ago

Way too much frosting on most of those cakes. Gotta go with cheesecake.

[–] bisby@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Those fancy textured clumps of frosting that make up the "trim" of a cake are usually dried out by the time you get to eating the cake. Just not good.

But the question is whether you want to choose based on flavor, texture, or appearance. If you want a pink princess cake from the bottom right. Get that. If you want cheesecake because that's your favorite, get that. Like sprinkles? Do that. Dislike sprinkles because texture? Skip them!

Pick what makes you happy.

I personally would go with the cheesecake or the top middle cake, I think. But I'd skip the clumps on top of the middle cake.

The frosting clumps you mentioned is a really good point. However, for whatever reason I’ve always enjoyed them more when they’re a little dry lol. But I’m definitely thinking either that cake or the cheesecake.

Personally I'd want the top right or bottom left, but I love sprinkles and dislike cheesecake.

Here's a method. When facing a choice where all options seem to be good, pick a random one. As an extension, if, after picking, you don't like the selection, eliminate it and pick another random.

Repeat until good enough, otherwise again pick a random one, but this time final.

Since they all are ok, there no wrong choice, thus a random is still ok and better than no choice.

[–] Marycat1@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 months ago

That is a good idea! I used to do the process of elimination a lot lol

I vote for the strawberry cream cheese cake.

To everyone saying cheesecake. Eww. Cheesecake has the worst texture, how can anyone even.

[–] badbytes@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Six is too many, first narrow to two.

None! I can't stand the texture of any cream in my mouth. So whipped cream and other frequent creams on cakes are an absolute no-go for me.

I also don't have a sweet tooth at all so I'll be fine with a birthday pizza :D

[–] nocturne@slrpnk.net 1 points 2 months ago

At my sister's 3rd birthday party my mom made whipped cream, only the cream was spoiled. I was the only one who could taste it. I was unable to eat whipped cream for the next 30 years.

Autistic cake thread. Reminds me of the show about an autistic doctor. He wanted all the different cakes in one as far as I can remember. Maybe try to combine them all?

[–] Marycat1@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 months ago

I don’t know if that’s possible, but it’d be pretty cool if it was
