I've really liked my time with Signalis. It does some neat stuff with it switching between the top down sections and first person puzzles/segments.

It has a VR version and I'm pretty sure if I tried it I'd run into a wall in a panic a few times at least.

"tried" I'm guessing they noticed :p

This isn't some grand conspiracy it's a closed beta for a video game. It's pretty normal to have an NDA or embargo agreement to get access. It sounds like valve just goofed the implementation. So yeah it's totally legal for them to post it, valve just might avoid giving them early copies in the future.

So apparently they had a bit asking players to not share info about the game, but you could technically back out of it without agreeing so legally they can post whatever they want. It feels like a case of "this is legal to do but maybe kinda shitty and valve might be upset". Basically the agreement was informal and not enforceable and the verge just said fuck it. They did get banned afterwards, but I think that and not working with them in the future is all valve can do.

Edit: didn't even require agreement, so honestly it's kinda fair game. I was a bit hostile calling it shitty, I felt like it was a loophole or something but it's more Valve just saying "hey pls don't" and the verge replying "no thanks", and eating the game ban since that's all valve can really do.

What's more likely:

  1. A grand conspiracy that's lasted for 50 years, that somehow has infected every branch of govt, but somehow still doesn't guarantee victory in elections, presidential and otherwise.

  2. Democrats are less corrupt.

Ah, so they don't want to pay drivers for down time so they just lock people out of "clocking in" when it's slow. That's pretty shitty. Pay your drivers for being idle, just like you have to pay people for being on call.

An LLM isn't ai. Llms are fucking stupid. They regularly ignore directions, restrictions, hallucinate fake information, and spread misinformation because of unreliable training data (like hoovering down everything on the internet en masse).

The 3 laws are flawed, but even if they weren't they'd likely be ignored on a semi regular basis. Or somebody would convince the thing we're all roleplaying Terminator for fun and it'll happily roleplay skynet.

Wouldn't want informed consumers would we? >.<

Good. I may not like Russia for a lot of reasons, but nothing justifies this sort of shit.

Wow. Fuck Nintendo. I own 2 switches and ToTK. Of course I emulate it, so I don't have to play at 20fps. And I can mod the game. Not buying another nintendo product again. I'm done. I'll just pirate it since it seems I don't own it anyways. Can't play it where I want, how I want, so why play by the rules at all.
