hexbear's age verification system has been fine in my experience. I just got a few DMs for the official hexbear age verification worker asking me for personal info (mostly credit card numbers) and after providing everything, I've never heard from them again

We all love a system that stays out of the users way ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜ค

i thought it was weird of them to ask for photos of my chest, especially the demand to send "updates" once ive been on HRT for long enough

at least they assured me its only shared to the lesbian workers, if thats true im fine with it

I was able to bypass all that by posting hog feral-hog

I draw the line at 3rd party cash transfers like venmo and cashapp. they started asking for my ID but I dont trust those fuckers so now im that annoying friend who always needs to hit the ATM

yeah I don't use that stuff. when I went to look into venmo, I remember discovering with horror that venmo defaulted to letting everyone see each other's transaction record. like what the fuck?

yeah lmao it's absolutely insane

i am the same. i don't use those. i just have my bank shit for bills, deposits. i don't trust venmo or cash app. i can walk to a bank atm. im the only tech person in the family and my relationship to tech is very intentional.

my family, of course, is baffled by technology but has all the latest stupid gadgets and self-surveillance devices and all their computers are malware riddled pop-up machines while they act like im crazy for not installing and entering my banking info into every app that asks.

i opened up an online bank account that is just used for intra-family money transfers and is completely firewalled from their bullshit with one extra cutout layer inserted between it and me, with a minimum balance maintained. took me like maybe a day to set up, and they acted like i was being so weird.

it would not surprise me if all of their credit and debit accounts are compromised. they aren't the types to scrutinize charges. they all make more than me with less living expenses, but are always cash poor.

Honestly nothing really.

Discover wanted me to verify my identity by uploading an ID to pay my monthly bill online. So I called and paid by phone and canceled that card.

Ideally it should be fine to do for financial/medical/government platforms, but I don't trust these fuckers to have robust security systems in place for their third party verification service and its 643 close partners.

The big 3 credit reporting agencies go and leak my social security number and critical PII every other year anyway, so it feels kinda silly to take a hard stance, but I really have no other recourse but to try and make it as difficult as possible for my info to get leaked.

Of course my best protection is being dirt poor with abmysal credit, but I really just dont want to deal with the huge hassle of having my identity stolen.

Surely you would help hexbear.net.gov in verifying your identity for the upcoming irl meetup!

I had to pass a background investigation and show them I have 3+ years professional work experience when I tried to get hired for the modteam
