Crockett might have won, but there was a reason the NRSC manipulated her into running in the first place.
If you don't think Talarico will be a walk in, watch the Colbert interview on YouTube the FCC stopped from being broadcast a few weeks ago.
Watched it before. He came off as an uninteresting centrist who only talks down to republicans and doesn't really talk much about the policies he supports that would help them. He's the stereotype of democrats who think they're better than them. I can't see how he could motivate democrats to go out and vote in a non-presidential election enough to offset voter suppression and he certainly doesn't seem like the type who'd appeal to republicans. I certainly didn't come out of watching that wanting to vote for him; quiet the opposite. And most of what I've seen from his "supporters" are people who only want to vote for him because he's a white man, which as been extremely off-putting.
I voted for him because all of that is still far far better than someone who supports Israel.
Yeah sick of Democrats that are vote for me because of [incert bad Republican here] talk. Fuck that tell me your position on the issues we face and what you are going try to accomplish for us.

Classic US democrat approach to correctly acknowledge the issue without doing anything about it.
The US democratic party is over, due to being complicit in class warfare against the rest of us. Whatever replaces it cannot come soon enough.
I honestly expected Crockett to win. Wow.
She was "supposed to" because that would have made it easier for the Republicans to hold this seat.
This result, along with the Republicans having to have a run off that costs the GOP another hundred million dollars to campaign against themselves, is pretty much the GOP worst case scenario for Texas.
There is a real chance that they lose a senate seat. In fucking TEXAS.
It can't be understated that Democratic primary turnout exceeded Republican turnout. We had 2.25M Democratic ballots cast in the US Senate race, vs 2.08M Republican ballots. Compare that to 2018 when Beto came within 3% of beating Cruz in the general. In the 2018 primary Cruz alone received more primary votes than all the Democratic primary candidates combined.
It also can't be understated that this is still Texas. It is still a huge uphill battle for the Democrats.
Yeah, the Republicans will no doubt be fired up in the general to turn out. We just have to make sure we do the same, now that we've proven we can outnumber them when motivated to do so.
Yeah I definitely think they underestimated the turnout they'd get when they concocted that plan to try to bait Crockett into running. How much of it was Trump's blunders vs Crockett's candidacy or Talarico's it's impossible to say. But these primary numbers are looking bleak for the general if trends hold.
