Yep. These people squealed and continue to squeal about things like "political correctness". It turns out they want everyone to bow to THEIR political correctness.
This is something that was glaringly obvious even back in the 90s when they first started Karening out over everything that was "PC".
One other note - I've been reminded of this scene so many times in my lifetime. It's probably one of the most true things said about American culture. Even if so many wingers and reactionary centrists have taken issue with me pointing them at this scene. Jack's character really sees America here.

Hegseth had demanded that the organization change its name back to Boy Scouts and remove some 200,000 young girls from its membership.
Claiming that "boys rule and girls drool," Hegseth, the petulant man-baby that he is, explained that "since girls have cooties, it's a travesty to allow gender mixing in the BOY Scouts!"
Remind me again why these people hate Iran? They seem to have more in common with the dead Ayatollah than anyone else.
He then slapped the reporter, yelled "No tagbacks!", and ran up the ladder to his tree house. When the reporter tried to ask followup questions, Kegsbreath pulled the ladder up after himself and plugged his ears, screaming "No girls allowed!" until his mom brought him some dino nuggies.
The DOD focusing on the important things while it is currently bombing the civilians of another country I see. /s
Scouting America is a private, non-profit organization.
That doesn't mean anything to the people that want the entire government to be privately held
From reading other articles and pieces from people associated with Scouts, while they don't get any money from the government, that isn't to say they don't get perks.
$1/yr leases for public land, access to property/equipment, logistical support/medical staffing for the Jamboree, jet flyovers, etc that help them stretch their funds or provide things they would t be able to access without the government's support.
The Jamboree is a 10 day event this July, so all that staffing provided by the gov is probably a huge expense, and if Hegseth pulled all that now or in the future, they'd be screwed. So essentially, this is coercion to get what they want.
