The Epstein files are only part of it. The bigger aspect is that Trump has no intention of being limited to 2 terms.
He's seen both Netanyahu and Zelenskyy delay elections due to war. He thinks it could work for him too. He's even met with both of them in the past few weeks. The combat in question being a hemisphere away is unlikely to be a problematic detail for him.
If he actually does that it will become extremely difficult for other world leaders to continue to support him. Politically speaking it's pretty dangerous for them to support him as is.
Nobody really does support him though, they just support not being punished. At this point I'm not convinced there's an end to that
No he does he has his far right supporters in other countries. That's why a lot of governments are being careful to not outwardly criticise him too much, it would mean problems for them back home. But the more and more of this kind of stuff Trump does, the easy and easy ot becomes for politicians to make increasingly critical statements on Trump without it affecting their support back home.
There were probably more casualties in the first hour of this war than Epstein's entire victim count.
I don't want to minimise the suffering of Epstein's victims but at some point they became the distraction from all the other awful things the Trump administration is doing.
It's 'flooding the zone', everything's a distraction from everything else, no one can keep up with the awful bs, because they don't care about the consequences besides lining their pockets or grabbing power.
Yes, but they're not doing all these things in order to "flood the zone". Flooding the zone is not the objective, it's the side effect.
Their objective is simply to implement an unassailable authoritarian class based regime. They're just doing that because no one can or will or is standing in their way. Everyone is waiting for checks and balances and courts and elections while they take control of the media, create a new military branch, and undermine elections.
Flooding the zone is just the natural outcome of doing all the awful things you want with no consequences.
I mean sure, further establishing their authoritarian regime is the intended effect, but flooding the zone is an intentional tactic to achieve that. It's been Trump's modus operandi from the beginning.
