More seriously though, yeah, "can be absorbed through the skin", fine, but at what levels? Like, seriously ... we're not talking about things we consume or things we put stuff into that we consume (i.e. BPA in a water bottle). I get it, strive for perfect and keep this crap out of our environments entirely, but this is really coming off as sensationalist clickbait to me compared to say, a study that shows people who use these products have confirmed higher incidences of cancer or something more substantial like that.
it's not about "eating headphones", it's about headphone makers still using unhealthy materials they can replace. Even if it doesn't harm you today, it will find its way to your glass of water one day.
How many headphones do they produce? Where is their factory? How are people living around or working in that factory doing?
