Happy Pizza Day! Boyo is out of his brain on pain pills and may eat everything I didn't quarantine for me by adding olives 😜

homemade pizza

Woke up unable to get out of bed. Utterly exhausted. Sick day. Sleeping all day.

Also today is 10 months off suboxone.

Yay!

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

Sounds like you needed a rest. Hopefully you’ll feel better tonight!

Today I re-crunched the foot I sprained last year. So that’s taped up. My body is one big whack a mole

I couldn’t decide what to write about in my Journalling last night, so my inner eight year old girl drew horses.

On reflection, he’s quite cute?

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago

yes, he's quite cute 🙂

[–] _miss_cellophane_@aussie.zone 5 points 2 days ago

Got my cranky pants on today, so I’m curating a new roadtrip playlist as I work. It’s helping a little bit.

Seems Boyo has kidney stones again. Off to the ER for mega drugs

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

oh no, so many hugs

sending mega healing vibes

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Hugging currently not an fantastic idea. 4 years since the last lot, he knows the drill.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 points 2 days ago

😿 just the healing vibes then

Blood and screaming, but this will pass (sorry)

Well, I got the emails out today. In my mind that's when a product is officially launched, even though there are way more people out there than just our mailing list. But product launches are a marathon, not a sprint. We use a financial year that finishes at the end of March so I really just have to do as much as I can until then.

picture 1

pic 2, I made a big loaf just yesterday afternoon, the Seagoons have demolished it, made with kalamata , next time I'll get some better olives from the Italian grocer

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

Made it down the bellarine for some time off.

The sausage roll I brought with me did not survive the train. :( I didn't think that through.

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago

Uhh. 4pm and I don’t know what I’ve done with the day. I feel so unproductive.

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

Dinner was lazy today, but very tasty. Toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Thick sliced sourdough, aged cheddar, smoked ham, relish. Buttered on the outside. Mmm.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago (2 children)

shopping for some ingredients to make tonight's dinner

broccolini at 6.50 🤯 I didn't get it

[–] tone212_@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Broccoli has been very expensive lately, a staple in my meals no more

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Substitute with frozen broccoli? Although I find that the texture isnt as nice as fresh

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

frozen is just as expensive!

Hmm I paid around $3 at Aldi last week. This shortage explains why there were only two bags left.

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

As the person in our house who does most of the shopping, I can tell inflation is up without waiting for the RBA to tell us. Prices been going up like crazy the last few months.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago

it's outrageous

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Finally listening to the new Karnivool album and man, it's just so good to hear new music from these guys again. I don't care if this album doesn't end up being as good as Sound Awake, it's always special when these guys get together to make music

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

nice, sounds like Low Roar so far

[–] Force_majeure1234@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

Yesss I was playing it over the weekend 🤘

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 5 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Back at work today, seems like last week was utter madness and I'm struggling to engage.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 2 days ago

was it the .. Space Madness?

but yeah, my anxiety/ptsd/depression has not been great

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

It's because someone spun you around too many times...

Bad /j

Today at the opshop I found an original signed Martin Tang etching of San Francisco harbour . $6

I really like it . Photos coming after I clean the glass and frame.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

had an idea so crazy it's brilliant:

at the moment, private courier companies can choose to be overseen by the postal ombudsman. Of course they don't, so as a sender you can go fuck yourself when they steal your shit.

Make it compulsory. The aramex fines alone would increase our GDP 200%

Launch day today. I wonder how smoothly things will go? Will I get everything out or is it going to be one of those things where it's a big deal to me but no one else seems to have the same urgency

Checking into the shit sleep gang

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

Not much to do today, the Young Seagoons are moving, I have a little tidying , some shopping, and then do my weekly UnKAOS and work planning . 🙂

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I really nailed my salad for lunch. The dressing was just a simple lime juice and yoghurt based, but once mixed in the salad with the egg, avocado, parmesan and bacon bits it was a perfect balance. I hope the lime and saltbush dressing I've done for the side salad for dinner tonight is as successful.

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

When are you opening your cafe. I would like to make a reservation please.

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

No reservations, I'm going to make every one wait in a long line down the street until I feel like it's the right time to serve them.

I can hear crickets outside. Made me think I haven’t really heard them much this summer, maybe it’s been too dry? They’ve come out because of yesterdays rain?

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

maybe they like a certain humidity
