I love this genre of chud, it's all so artistically vapid.

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 10 points 3 days ago

chuds are impressed by AI art because to them this is art

It is somewhat interesting to see all the conservative grievance trigger phrases rolled into one package but detached from the time period when those things were being ginned up. I don't have the mindset to evaluate how that hits but I wonder if it has the impact it's supposed to.

Oh, the hogs love it. It's like a treat to them, to be validated about their shitty beliefs by music that resembles what those darn woke libs like to play.

This guy's lyrics all sound like they were written by a team of 15yo redditors lmfao

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I feel like 15yo redditors would try harder with the rhyme schemes, even if it turned out just as bad.

[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 7 points 3 days ago

Worst thing is, you're probably not wrong lol

[–] axont@hexbear.net 15 points 3 days ago

this man is Canadian

[–] happybadger@hexbear.net 14 points 3 days ago

Oh man, that's actually a guy named Tom MacDonald. It sounded so godawful and his guitar playing is so fake that I kept looking at his facial tattoos for AI artefacts. It's so much more unfortunate that he's a real guy.

[–] FnordPrefect@hexbear.net 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

lol, it's so bad it almost wraps around to profound satirical statement:

Everything he says is the opposite of history/actual events. You can tell since the song repeats itself (a lot) and rarely (never?) rhymes susie-nudge

[–] mickey@hexbear.net 5 points 3 days ago

Ooooh, I see what you did there, yeah I'm having a smooth brain Saturday so it's good you put the nudge emoji there.

guy at work said Tom MacDonald should do the halftime show

[–] mickey@hexbear.net 6 points 3 days ago

Textbook example of coworker politics. I am curious how the people who want the TPUSA halftime show will react to it.

There really is a whole other world out there

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Did he say what songs he should do?

[–] LetterLiker@hexbear.net 3 points 2 days ago

I did not have the fortitude to explore the topic further

[–] Commiechameleon@hexbear.net 8 points 3 days ago

Is this what Tom is up to after blink182? He looks terrible now damn

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Very boring track, zero effort. The only funny part is that he still is blaming "the left" for Trump's ear piercing.

[–] mickey@hexbear.net 7 points 3 days ago

Boring track? Wow, Minneapolis was literally burned to the ground by Antifa, but I guess that's not enough excitement for the loony left. /s

The light blaccent is the cherry on the cake for me

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 13 points 3 days ago

His entire career is built on crudely mimicking AAVE, seemingly because he thinks that's just how rap works, which he has done for his entire career even before he did all the republican pandering. He talks nothing like that outside of his songs.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Come visit Amerikkka then. Kkkanadians wont be akkkcepted either.

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He's from Canada, but he lives in LA

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 6 points 3 days ago

Ah so the brainrot makes sense then.

[–] astronot@hexbear.net 5 points 3 days ago

I've never heard of this dipstick, and my old ass initially read his name as Michael McDonald and I was all like boohoo but then it wasn't him, it was this nerd and I was like michael-laugh

[–] GladimirLenin@hexbear.net 4 points 3 days ago
