Some are in it for the love of the game, others are grifting who make bank off being wrong about games/movies/tv/books they don't engage with.
This one is self-victimized. You can see it in that last sentence implying that at some point "the wokes" controlled what was in media and that this has changed. Common sentiment among a certain class of u.s. reactionary.
