You don't defend a revolution with armed struggle, that's fascist. You defend it by marching unarmed people up to the enemy, one by one, to be slaughtered until that enemy grows a conscience. You must also make sure that those enemies retain their rightful stranglehold over mass media. I am a serious leftist.

Zap Brennigan is the only true leftist as can be seen by his way of defeating the killbots

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 15 points 1 month ago

Also if you strike, we'll organize it so it's not too inconvenient for our places of work, and we can make a whole picnic of the thing; also it can't be more than a day because our bosses need us back.

The entire Chinese revolution shows us it was a violent revolution not a peaceful evolution

Karl Marx: "We have lots of compassion for the bourgeoisie. When our turn comes, we shall have a peaceful evolution. Revolution is not the communist way."

[–] huf@hexbear.net 30 points 1 month ago (1 children)

it's not like mao wanted a violent revolution, he would've been fine with the landlords voluntarily surrendering their land and joining him...

[–] cornishon@lemmygrad.ml 26 points 1 month ago

In fact, such landlords existed and Mao (and others like Xi Zhongxun) defended them against the more, ahem, "leftist" elements in the Party.

"We will make a myriad excuses to avoid the terror" – Karl Marx I think

I don't even mind communists, it's tankies I hate

I like communists except for all the ones who have achieved even a modicum of success

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 34 points 1 month ago

i don't even mind communists, it's tankies i hate

Literally every single communist will fall into this person's definition of tankie in some way.

Yeah cause what the Chinese needed was to dress up in mascot costumes and parade around the streets in front of the emperor so he could know he was owned.

Fascism is when you refuse to be killed by rich people, and the more people not killed by rich people or their lackeys, the more fascist it is

[–] Meltyheartlove@hexbear.net 21 points 1 month ago (2 children)

The comments made me think, this was from reddit-logo

[–] SmithrunHills@hexbear.net 18 points 1 month ago

It's fucking wild

[–] SmithrunHills@hexbear.net 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

...a violent revolution not a peaceful evolution

Yeah they should have just peacefully evolved away from Hitler rather than violently resist. Don't the Jews know that's dictatorship?

And tankies love fascism as long as it's used against capitalism

???????? Is this another case of a lib mistaking some random piece of fanfiction they read for reality, or is this supposed to be a smug reference to Molotov-Ribbentrop?

[–] cornishon@lemmygrad.ml 20 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Their definition of fascism is quite literally "when government does stuff"

[–] pongo1231@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago (2 children)

But I thought it was communism when the government does stuff

[–] Collatz_problem@hexbear.net 21 points 1 month ago

That's why they think fascism=communism.

[–] cornishon@lemmygrad.ml 13 points 1 month ago

You forgot to apply the Horseshoe Theorem.

[–] ClathrateG@hexbear.net 7 points 1 month ago

Apart from when liberal western governments fund/commit genocides, invade and occupy other countries install puppet governments and extract wealth, that's democratic and non-authoritarian

[–] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

any asshole can just fabricate their own reality - the Internet was a mistake

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago

The internet (or rather, corpo controlled social media) has created a kinda of micro-schizoid effect on everyone's brains. It's actually concerning.
